Just wondering why so many don't want Moyes. The man did a solid job at Everton and they are hardly top six quality.

This is my take on Old Cods Eyes, I don't like his ethics or his manner, or his man management technique, and that's just for starters.
There is more but I shall save that for another day.ย

I thought we played ok today - looked more solid until the stupid penalty - however Kamara who played pretty well was totally out of position at right half - not impressed by SJ tactics - and then a mad second goal when we were in the game - needed Ayite or Kebano upfront when Schurrle tired

And failed everywhere else. Yesterday's man.

Yep. Also a bit of a sexist and racist as shown at his last two clubs.

You actually thought Kamara played well?

He was never in position, should've been sent off. He's way out of his depth.

Fernhurst

No joy at Huddersfield and SJ is gone. Would love to see him get a huge 3 points.

Fernando Hierro โ€”โ€” next up
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

What makes them so sure Slav is going anywhere.
God help us if Moyes is recruited, or should I say Cod help us.

Like Woolly I'm not a lover of Moyes, but what you say has got substance.
1- Made Everton a top 6 Club.
2- Manure- Nobody as proved was going to follow Sir Alex.
3- Sunderland were skint and in freefall,as been proved now in League 1.
4 West Ham- Brought in to keep them up did so,and they were playing have decent stuff, was liked by a lot of their fans, who were surprised by him not being kept on,they doing no better under a so called top manager now.

Whoever we get in if Joka goes we still cant buy players for a long time, and as mentioned above it could be too late by then!

Not sure who would be a good manager for us right now.
Guy goes into the doctor's.
"Doc, I've got a cricket ball stuck up my backside
"How's that?"
"Don't you start"

Think they might be going on the lines that he has been at our last 2 home games.

Unfortunately looks like SJ will be out the door very soon.

Really don't like the thought of Moyes, or any of the other regulars for that matter, Allardyce for example.

Not sure how realistic it is but Wenger would be my choice.

I don't think the last point is true atall from a quick #whufc moyes search on twitter. Most were very happy with the upgraded appointment of Pellegrini. There's no reason we can't get a manager like that in. Rather than one of the same merry go round English managers there's no reason we can't show some ambition like we did in the transfer market

Look at West Ham last season, and you're not a million miles away from us this season.

We could do a lot worse.

I agree we could do worse but we could also do better? I don't understand why we would settle for an average candidate when we could bring in someone to take us to the next level.

For what it's worth Moyes was at the match yesterday - saw him going into Directors Box at Riverside whilst having pre-match beer.

Can you poach other managers during a season ?

I'd go big for Eddie Howe, just need to prize him away from Bournemouth.
They looked solid and disciplined yesterday and he could definitely sort our defence out
He's also used to working on a budget and getting the most out of low profile players.
Money talks, Chuck a shed full of cash at him and also at Bournemouth to let him go.

@jolslover

I'll take a quote from a Real Sociedad fan on the West Ham forums, Re Moyes.

'That's what we thought in San Sebastian for his horrific year with Real Sociedad. Forums here back then were buzzing with comments saying basically that they'd rather the club went down than continue with the woeful Moyes' brand of "football"'

Other quotes from West Ham fans come the end of the season

'The way he sets the team up, the way he talks pre game (so negatively), his tactics, team selection, lack of urgency with subs.
l think ill pass on Moyes, thanks. He's done an 'ok' job, say thanks and goodbye.'

'I don't think Moyes is for me. His pre match interview reminded me of Allardyce, very negative, almost defeatist before the game. Then Joe Hart started time wasting after 16 minutes.
He's already signed Hugill and I just think his future signings will be along the same lines. We'd gradually move from Lanzini and Arnautovic type players to Phil Neville and Fellaini.'
