Cardiff have signed striker Emiliano Sala for 18 million.

NOW I'm starting to get p*ssed off.

Not impressed personally. We've learned the hard way that a good player in the French league isn't necessarily a good player over here. Particularly one who's 28 - if he was any good, someone from a better league would have signed him long ago. And I'm not sure how a South American who's never played over here is going to adapt to a dressing room led by Sean Morrison and Colin. £18m is a stupid amount of money to spend on that type of player a few months before you get relegated.

Still, nice to see someone else pi$$ing money on silly French signings for a change

Statto, have you ever thought about going into football, specialising in transfer dealings? I feel with your constant criticism and input your wasted being an armchair critic?

Just asking for a friend.

I'd be better than Tony Khan.
And that is leaving all joking, hyperbole, sarcasm and other facetiousness to one side.
I would do a much better job than him.
Fact.

Sean Dyke has a better defence and better defenders than Fulham, and he knows it, and being 7 points further up than Fulham with a better goal difference than ourselves, his needs are different to Fulhams. We are far more desperate and that is our problem.
It is still an issue for both them and Southampton, they can't get players across the doormat.

Maybe,
but if we don't get enough of the right players over the line, if any,  they won't need to, and the trail will lead back to the same suspects as to why we didn't.
If we failed to get the right players in the summer, and the current League Table signifys we did not.
Then it's hardlly likely we will get the players we need in this Window.
Because if I was a decent quality footballer looking for a stable club with a good recruitment and negotiating team that would give me confidence that i would be joining a good professional set up with foresight and vision, with the ability to make Fulham a stable Premier Division Club on and off the field of play.
I would seriously be concerned that I should avoid Fulham at all costs, and I never thought I would ever think that.

Well according to the bookies Victor Moses options include Man United, Crystal Palace, Everton, Wolves, Leicester, Watford, Arsenal, Liverpool and Fulham. I hope seeing our training ground convinced him we are the onces to choose.

We are drifting again into more off topic debates. Let's try avoid that so the thread flows with the various transfer gossip!

Kamara just posted about renting a car in Morocco.. he's almost certainly gone then

Have moved discussions about what Statto would do differently into its own thread. Think it deserves a proper debate, and this isn't the best place for it!

Keeping a close eye on the gossip columns today..! Surely we have to get one defender over the line before Spurs?

Can he play centre back, I don't think so, he is not tall enough, plus I thought he was a forward.

It would seem we are having difficulty signing players , even after a tour of Motspur Park the Chelsea players are holding off, possibly our league position is not to their liking.

Our only summer signing that has been successful is Mitrovic and he signed for us because of the Jocanovic connection.

It would seem right now that our best chance of bringing in players with proven quality is those with connections to Ranieri, it must be re assuring for a player to move and be aware that he is going to work with a manager he knows and has previously been a success with. It is also good for the manager to have known the player well and to be sure that there is no great risk involved.

Having failed with the Chelsea players I hope that our recruitment team are now making maximum efforts to bring in players suggested by Ranieri.

I just heard that Babel is going to be our only signing this month. Quite disappointing.

IF it's true it would show that we've given up but I think we may still be surprised.
