Hanball doesnt matter if he can punch. 2nd goal 5 yard header should be keepers all day ... he was rooted. 3rd ge goes to ground stupidly early and is beaten easily with a soft header from distance. Recall Rodak.

Fabri is on contract, play him now.

An accurate assessment.  Rico has been hot-and-cold this season, tonight he was freezing!!

But is terrible coming off his line too..!!!

Milo

Ps three great shot stops tonight from Rico but flapping with balls in the air. Realistically we all knew those were his strengths and weaknesses before this game.

And struggling with English!?!

Yes, Rico was poor on occasion but still made several point blank saves... He's not De Gea.... Much worse players out there tonight.

Who seriously was worse than Rico tonight?

Bryan, Seri, Sess, markovic. In my opinion.

Spirit of 2000

Disagree ... Rico was beyond pathetic.

No good making the odd reaction save when he can't do the basics - can't catch, can't defend corners or free kicks, and what was that blatant shoving of Hernandez all game... asking for a penalty. Whoever identified him as a keeper for the English game clearly doesn't understand the game in this country

He made two very good saves!! Don't get this?

mancwhite

The goals conceded against Spurs especially the Winks goals highlighted his weakness in the air and I would say an inability to read the game. He is a goalkeeper who does not like to wander too far from his goal line while he makes spectacular saves we need someone to do the basics well. Would be badly exposed in the championship I think.
Your just too good to be true Fulham

elgreenio

are we just realising now that he's not very good aerially??? It has been like this all season but he is still the best of what we have

Woolly Mammoth

If he is the best of what we have, and I am not convinced he is, then that is nowhere near good enough.
As Betts is injured, I would like to see Marek Rodak given an opportunity, he cannot do any worse surely.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Rico appears to be the best of what we have in terms of always being selected although he makes the same mistakes and shows the same faults every game.  His reaction times have always seemed slow to me but that is something he shares with a lot of Fulham's current staff.  Not sure why he has been singled out for a shame thread all of his own though - he no more deserves that than any other player in a team that has absolutely no idea how to win possession back when they lose it and is not set up to do so either.

Just get rid of Ranieri first and then work it out from there.

Tend to agree with this. I also don't believe he reads the game very well which is why I feel his reaction times are slow and his positioning questionable too.  I think he is rattled too easily. Really cannot believe he is the best keeper we have but that does appear to be the case from current coaching perspectives.

clarkey

We buy a bunch of keepers and they are all useless and completely unsuited to the UK game.

Betts is far and away the best for the Prem from the selection we had. Pathetic management.

But worse than Rico was Bryan he was terrible. Wrong body shape throughout, and allowed cross after cross, or gave away free kicks.

At least no Christie ...Odoi played well as did Ream. Really dumb ass decisions this season from Joka and CR. Should have kept shell of last years team and strengthened where we needed ie Full back on both sides. Targett at £15m would have been a bargain. Sess has been handled really really badly this year, he should be our star.

Play 4 4 2 every game (5 at back hilarious given how bad our full backs are) and get a back up striker. Mitro looks knackered to me.Cairney only inventive players and CR does not even play him in the right place.

We are down, dead and buried. Let's beat Chels and cheer on the boys, hope he picks the right team.

We've hardly seen anything of Fabri.  Leaving aside the loan issue, Rico won't be with us next season - he thinks he's good enough for a PL side. Fabri needs to be assessed with a decent run in the team.

I assume he has never experienced the constant physical threat around his area like he has with us.
That said, he's a professional athlete and a tall man who's allowed to use his hands when others are not.

Of course he can make stunning saves, he wouldn't have got this far in his career without talent but goal keeping is more than just talent.

He is not the reason we are in this mess but I do expect better from a PL goalkeeper.
