Sess liked the official Ranieri sacked post! Awks!

Carborundum

"Scott's immediate assignment is merely to .....rediscover ourselves as a football club"

What a staggering remark that is.  Altogether now, to the tune of Sloop John B:

"We know who we are
We know who we are-are-are
Stuff* rediscovery
We know who we are"

* or similar

Looking forward to Cairny and Sess playing in a formation that allows them to do their stuff.
Guy goes into the doctor's.
"Doc, I've got a cricket ball stuck up my backside
"How's that?"
"Don't you start"

I love the line "If Scott can answer that challenge, and our players respond to the opportunity, perhaps victories will follow in the months ahead" - so we are hoping to win a game before the end of the season -  :wow:

Have I got it wrong or is their a dig at Slav there as well.

I thought the same thing.

You can't tell.. the reality is the defence was atrocious and was poorly reinforced in the summer. We played in the premiership with a championship defence.. and I'm of the belief part of that was because Tony khan's biases towards the likes of ream and Odoi. They were never going to be good enough. Hopefully shahid can take a grown up decision and let Tony play around with his passion for wrestling.

I am delighted at this news.  obviously Parker is not going to save us from relegation, only a fool would expect that.  However he has a chance to re-engage the likes of the Sess brothers, TC, Mitro etc.  With little pressure it is a chance to; clear the air, select sensible teams and formations, regenerate a bit of passion and restore some pride.  I was intending to give our defeat against Chelsea a miss but now I plan to attend and support the manager and his team.

It's a poisoned chalice - the same thing KSymons had
No win situation
Just get some morale and passion back until they decide on next year's manager/victim

It's a shame that I've already announced that I won't be attending any more home games this season , because I could have saved that statement for the appointment of Parker,
I'd be surprised if the ticket office has had a single phone call following that announcement,
This season has been painful to watch and Parker has been coaching them, let that thought sink in for a moment.

There are two ways to look at this appointment though.
1. You could be right.
2. The players respect Parker and he is the only one that has escaped any of the flak following the demise of now two regimes. He obviously gets on well with the players and they do engage quite well both pre and post match, the latter probably in a conciliatory manner. He has been lauded as a good coach prior to his appointment at FFC since when he has gone off the media radar. If he was having to work to somebody else's game plan he might be just as frustrated as the rest of us. He knows the background issues and he now knows this is a big chance for him to secure a foothold in a management career. I'd be prepared to give him the season even just to see an improvement in morale, performances and a core group evolving for next season. In the mess we are in where else can we go?

Good luck Scotty you may need it, it was Scott who suggested that Chambers changed position, so let's see what other changes he makes...!!!!

Ah, be innovative. Lets see TC in the middle and Sess out left. Something CR never tried at the same time.
Its not that I could and others couldn't.
Its that I did and others didn't.

Tony Gale has just said its different coaching them and being their pal on the training ground to being in charge.
Can he walk into the dressing on Sunday and let them know he is in charge now and they adhere to it.

MJG

Never wanted Parker back let alone in charge. But we are where are and I'll support him as caretaker, he's going to need it with those first four games.
Just the views of a long term fan

From BBC website - Former midfielder Parker will become Fulham's sixth manager in 56 Premier League games after Martin Jol, Rene Meulensteen, Felix Magath, Jokanovic and Ranieri. - That is 9.33 games per manager!!

That's very true but I think the players will buy into it. TC has expressed his respect for Parker in the past and he obviously didn't like the Ranieri regime. Kmac might have a few words to say at Motspur tomorrow and somebody has already mentioned Sess has let slip his joy at the change. I think we need to give this a go

how quickly we forget Kit Symons. That's a shocking stat for stat man.

Bracken White

Listened to Tony Gale's comments during last night's match & he was absolutely spot on re Cairney & Sessegnon. Hopefully on Sunday they'll be re-instated with McDonald holding his place. Can't we recall Johansen from WBA?!!
Stay Fulhamish ~ stay unique

When I read the news I told my wife that we had another manager - her caustic response was that it was good that we were top for manager changes. I can only wish Parker well & hope that "if/when" we go down we can go with self-respect & be football ready for the next chapter in the FFC story.

Robbie

Good luck Scotty ....... a few wins to the end of the season would be nice.  And then start the big clean-up for next season.

And thanks to the Khan's for making this move quickly.
