I can't think of anyone who deserves the Player of The Season award, unless of course someone gets a hat trick against City and then another four or five goals before the end of the season.

Based on the latest FST notes, I suspect they'll run a "Man of the Last Three Years" award so Tony Khan, and perhaps even Mackintosh (the only candidates) can heap even more praise on themselves for getting us promoted and remind everyone we only got relegated this season because Mawson got injured

The blame game could be one of epic soap opera proportions but I will settle for 'a leak' from the dressing room saying the players themselves have decided to shelve the idea or Kmac just comes right out and says "we ain't doing it". Meanwhile the fledgling Director of Operations award hots up with the prize for the winner being yet another chance to cock things up.

I don't wish to hijack this thread but our own awards would lift the gloom a bit.

Think they'll go ahead with it, no matter what. Just watched the 'Sunderland Til I Die' documentary series and they had one just after they were relegated to League One. Standard fare for a club to have one no matter what, I think.
