Hello mate, you are very quite, have you seen the test score?

Aussie_Fulham

G'day mate. I'm hunky dory, sitting pretty watching my country 1-nil up in the Ashes.

Looks like it'll be fairly overcast with a bit of humidity in the air tomorrow, so hopefully we're afforded similar conditions to what the UN bowled in on day 1.

Well done to the Barbadian on single handedly changing the course of this Frank Worrell trophy.. Certainly looked after the first test that we were destined to sweep the series. Now with his inclusion, and the greatest living test batsman out, the UN might scrap their way to a 3-1 series loss. Full credit to them for changing their eligibility rules to rush the young West Indian quick from Barbados into his adopted countries line up to carry this side to the brink of being competitive  :clap_hands:

Usman Khawaja  -   Pakistan, have a nice day. Hypocrite!!!

Twig

Half their rugby squad has always been raided from Samoa and Fiji. It's had a really detrimental effect on the development of those two rugby nations. But let's not get into that because it shows the hypocrisy of highlighting Archer's contribution.
Smith is one of the world's top three batsmen I won't argue with that but sooooo dependent on him. A real one man team.

Lol @ having to change goal posts and bring up rugby as a counter argument for a discussion about cricket  093.gif

I find it highly ironic you have the nerve to call any side a "one man team" given it's taken the inclusion of a Barbadian to carry your side to be competitive against our world class line up.

Smith is easily the current  best test batsman. Followed by daylight, then viRAT Kohli.

Looking forward to today's action and watching how the UN's frail batting order fares. Word has it the sun has poked its head out. Your lot will need to conditions to drastically improve from yesterday if you're any chance of building a sizeable lead going into the second innings.

Jofra Archers dad Frank used to work with me. Really nice bloke but had nothing to do with Jofra until now. Weird how these things work out huh.
Everything is difficult before it's easy!

But that's ALL international sport isn't it?  Remind me where Labuschagne was born?  It's a shame but these days sport generally is largely one bunch of 'mercenaries' against another.  Locality has become irrelevant.
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

toshes mate

Good to know Australia do have National Indigenous teams playing cricket which is well covered in certain parts of the not so mass media.

Perfect conditions for the UN to bat in today. They've really had the better of the conditions this test and the last. It's a shame the light was apparently good enough for our tail to bat in yesterday, but not good enough for the UN to come out and bat in. Probably would have started today 2 or 3 down had this brittle top order bat in yesterday's conditions for a couple of overs.

Did you know that Australia would not exist today, if Captain Cook had not stopped for a smoke.

It'd exist in some capacity. And on the plus side for you lot, it would have saved decades and decades worth of heartache getting pounded in the Ashes by us.

Ellen is averaging 29 in England since 2018. Might be time for the UN to find themselves a new skipper after Australia wins this series. An irishman skippers the ODI side, perhaps a kiwi or Barbadian to skipper the test side?

No worries Ned Kelly, But we don't cry like big babies when caught cheating.
Your also conveniently overlooking the body line series, when you Cobblers where running scared back to your dingos because we were hurting you. What a bunch of whiners and whingers you are.
But no worries digger, hows the sand paper business going down under.

See that's the difference between us and you lot. We went back to the drawing board after the bodyline series,, put in the hard work to ensure we'd never lose like that again, and as a result ended up holding the Ashes for the next 20 odd years until the 50's. Where as you guys just send more scouts to all corners of the globe looking for players after being embarrassed out in the middle.

3-20 in perfect conditions. Geeze if England batted first yesterday they'd be all out for 50.

Wrong again it's 45 for 5.
Time for you to call your nurse as it must be past midnight in the outback. Still no worries.
May I suggest you see a Doctor or at least a Vet, as you have serious issues of low self esteem and a massive inferiority complex, not forgetting the most balanced person on this forum, you have a chip on both shoulders. But no worries, I may amble down to Earls Court later and drink few of your whinging country men under the table as usual.

I can't believe this thread was started as England always seem to oblige with a spectacular collapse at a critical moment!!

Timing is impeccable. That was a some bowling session. Fair to say Warner has his eye in. Having a nice bottle of shiraz giggling to myself while the carnage unfolds.

Woolly Mammoth

You can say that again, it's down to Buttler and Woakes to make a stand. But the openers and middle order have let us down again. Where is John Edrich, Geoff Boycott and Ted Dexter when you need them.
