Vs Villa. They look as though they're barely breaking a sweat yet currently 5-0 up. Already taken off De Bruyne to rest him and a couple of key players rested also. Our cup tie should be good fun! Granted, they're not invincible but this makes grim watching. Or great watching for us as they stuff Villa  :clap_hands:

Dodgin

Yeh, still a bit lucky for our game with Mitro probably out of rested, it's 6 now at Villa

bobbo

I actually would have liked villa to have beat the even though it was very unlikely.
Man c were so run of the mill until the bottomless pot of Abu Dhabi moved in.
1975 just leaving home full of hope

With Watford winning today Villa drop into a relegation spot,
What a bounce Watford have had with their latest manager.

What about Fulham before Al Fayed trotted up.
All clubs now have owners investing huge sums of money .

Villa have had a lot of football in the past two weeks, and they aren't nearly as deep as City.

How we do against them will depend on luck, and who they field on the day.   I think they have 3 games in 7 days that week.

Tbf I remember City playing us at the Cottage in the old third tier and our usual gate of about 6000 went up to 16000+ due to their travelling fans. Team may have been crap but they always had decent support

Fernhurst

Do hope Scott was wearing his brown corduroy trousers watching that performance.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

I actually like watching Man City. Always entertain, which is what it's all about.

Likewise, and think they deserve their success after living in the
shadows of United for decades.

That ball across from De Bruyne was absolutely exceptional. What a player he is, bet Chelsea are pleased they let him go (and Salah).

I as have said before, Man City is not owned by an individual it is owned by a country, well the owner owns the country. They get up to all sorts of tricks like when they sold the naming rights to the stadium to themselves for 400 mill.

Cambridge Pete

It's almost a no lose game. Anything less than 6 : 1 would be a better result than a Prem side could muster. Anything worse and we can say "What did you expect"  However if we play the Tippy Tappy pass it around the Pen area they will slaughter us and it might wake the owners up to the fact that we need a plan b. or even a new approach. I for one will watch on the Box and hopefully enjoy a gallant performance and who knows its the cup remember Hereford Vs Leeds

charlieFFC

Saw a few of their lot digging out Targett on their forum and his price tag.

Also, hope those that thought Drinkwater would be a good signing saw this game!
