Fulham 442

I think MAF had it placed in his garden in France(?)

CaptainJingles

The article mentions it was taken off of display, so I'd warrant it is sitting in storage somewhere at the museum.

We are yet to stay up during a premier league season since it was removed.

Maybe its time we brought it back? Straight swap for Cyrus or Ream?

Aldo

I heard that it was at the National Football Museum in Manchester, but was removed following the allegations made against him!

Logicalman

I'm still trying to fathom out how on earth it got to be displayed at the National Football Museum in the first place!

Irrespective of the allegations made against the guy, what, apart from the single fact that MJ attended one football match in 1999, does MJ, or (tbh) a very tacky statue of him, have to do with actual football?
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

Burt

I think it melted during the min-heatwave last summer.

Careful Burt there will be someone somewhere who will construe that as racist!

Of much more concern is what has happened to the George Cohen statue, I assume that has been moved somewhere for safe keeping.

And there was me thinking it wasn't very lifelike !

Steeeeeeeeeed

With a bit of tweaking it could be Woy, he deserves a statue.

Andy S

George is still there keeping a watch over the new stand

There are a few Fulham mementos in that museum, tickets/ seats/ stubs/ kits etc. I'd prefer that focus instead of a tacky statue that was placed inside the ground for 2 years of our 140 year history. Means nothing to the majority of our fans and to make it worse the club started selling MJ  merchandise to cash in on it .
May as well put up will Ferrell and Margot Robbie statues up as they've been at matches too

Not sure about the France connection but I had read it has been returned to MAF.   Perhaps he's turned it into a fountain?
