What intrigues me is that Slavisa repeatedly stated that he had no say in transfers (contrary to the club's statements), and yet his former assistant from his time with us is now in-part responsible for "talent identification".

Feck me if we left it all to TK we would be lining up with Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Undertaker as our new centre back pairing!

Could you be any more condescending to an individual who has done a lot for this organization?  Damn.  Let it rest. :dead horse:

No Tony Khan knows nothing about football and should stick to wrestling

He is responsible for signing players - we have the best squad in the league on paper, and pretty much every player we've signed this season has done well - he must know something about football

Dismal news i am afraid. It papers over the need for full backs
What exactly did he did when he was here before that should make me pleased.
Hoddle was a better choice.
Not sure how its possible to be wrong on so many counts in such a small post.
Just the views of a long term fan

The timing is funny, What can he do at the end of the mid season window.

How does this effect Parker's position.

Might be perfect timing, get to know Parker and the squad, 6 months to cultivate his relationships and ready for the summer transfer window.
Also he can start working on a plan for when/if we go up! That process starts now and at least this time we have a full time (knowledgeable) person looking at it

"In his role, Javier will work closely with Tony on football business matters including talent identification and development but his primary focus will be on embedding the club's playing philosophy through all Fulham's teams from youth level to the First Team, ensuring the attractive play Fulham is famous for is exemplified throughout the club."

Given the above and the timing of the announcement then there are plenty of questions that now beg to be answered about the not too distant future, but we will have to wait for the future to arrive before we can know the answers to tell.  Time will also tell us if this appointment will be enough for the Club to turn a very important corner but at least it does show the Khans are trying to turn that corner. Twenty twenty could be a rather astonishing year for FFC ...

Feels positive, but also very intriguing. Devil will be in the detail, and the questions most of us have probably won't be answered. Our communications team live in a world of grey.

Sharing the style of football and football philosophy throughout the various squads would help the seamless move from one group of players to the next. So hopefully see more of our academy players move into the first team squad and not lose them to other teams.
Another branch of the sustainability tree, maybe? I doff my cap to TK. I don't think he'll every get an easy ride at Fulham but I like the guy.

So very , very true  it is extremely positive to have a "football man through and through' at the top table. Good move by TK

Unbelievable, comments like this make me wonder why I keep this Forum going sometimes, it really does.

I just ignore posts like these from a very few who seem to want to disrupt decent arguments with provocative statements just for their own ego.

I commented in a recent post about the need for a 'hands on' DoF - citing Arthur Cox as the sort of character we need.  Not sure if Mr Periera is in that mould but always got the impression he was a tried and trusted lieutenant of Slav.  So thumbs up from me.

I read it as a lighthearted comment on the colours of his clothes in the photos, and thought it was quite funny as a one liner  :005:

He has been here a few years now so I guess he knows a bit more than you think.
