What a joke! Glad we've already scored three.

Not the point. Ream stupid faffing about, put MlM in trouble, he compounded it.  Ream's responsibility.

Regardless of the fluffing about, we didn't deserve a penalty for that. Two mutually exclusive issues. But yes, Ream put us in the spot. Wish I could say he would learn his lesson... but how many times has he made these poor decisions recently...
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

To the OP, it was a dreadful decision. There was absolutely no infringement at all.

bobbo

reams good when hes not got time on his hands , he seems to deliberately wait for the player to get too close before he plays it . i was actually infuriated with him over that today nearly threw away what weve been gifted by brentford and wba. thought mlm had a very tidy game , wondered why neeskins taken off . but we won so alls well.
1975 just leaving home full of hope

Sgt Fulham

Its a decision that is so bad that it warrants investigating. I'm not suggesting that the ref was biased, merely bloody incompetent.

I agree and on the same subject why the hell didn't the Lino call him over and put him right?

I didn't see anything wrong with Ream's pass to MLM at all. It was right to MLM's feet. MLM had enough time to boot it up field or out, but he made the wrong decision to turn in toward Rodak. Sure, Ream could have played a different pass, but I don't see any fault with Ream's pass at all.

BUT THEN ITS ALWAYS REAM 'S FAULT!

It didn't look a penalty to me but the ref gave it. Good enough for me

rebel

The penalty was given because Rodak went in with both feet, I'm not sure why he wasn't booked for it, anywhere else on the pitch he would have been.

No, 100% a penalty. The only surprising thing is that Rodak didn't get booked.

He went it with one foot, not a pen. Have you ever watched or played football before?

The referee should have booked himself for gross incompetence at the highest level.

Definitely two footed, he slid in, if he'd challenged whilst upright it wouldn't have been given.
'Have you ever watched or played football before?' That's funny.

according to Jim yesterday he has only refereed one Premier league game. So not very experienced. It could be that he thought Neeskin's trip was a soft one and when he had an opportunity to reciprocate he did no excuses he should give what he sees and not what he thinks he sees

I don't think Le Marchand did have enough of an opportunity to clear it upfield. Ream's pass forced him backwards to receive the ball and by the time he had turned to face forwards, the Wednesday player was upon him. Yes, Le Marchand probably wishes he had simply kicked the ball out for a throw-in near our corner flag, but that's a split-second decision that goes against the norm in terms of how Parker wants us to play.

Much as I admire Ream for his courage in playing out from the back, he - and not MLM - had the ball at his feet long enough to assess that this was an occasion when a hopeful punt upfield was the sensible option.
