Who will actually end up at Fulham this transfer window

That's my four

Harrison Reed - loaned - fee in loan contract - £8m
Ryan Babel - played previously - was a success - small fee / free
Calum Chambers - played previously - was a success - £12m
Branislav Ivanović - played in Prem - free

Rambler

This would be a very underwhelming window if those were signed. We'd be dead on for relegation again

Classic94

We'd be destined for relegation if that was the extent of our transfer business. I'd like to see both Kongolo and Reed made permanent, before targeting younger players with the ability to step up in the PL:

RB: Cash (Forest) - Christie and Odoi are solid squad players, but no more.

CB: Christensen (Chelsea) - Naturally left-sided. He'd be a visible upgrade on Ream.

DM: Billing (B'mouth) - His physicality could be useful. Still just 24.

AM: Eze (QPR) - Fast and creative. Capable of playing on either wing, or more centrally.

ST: Toney (P'boro) - A promising understudy or supplement to Mitrovic.

Other options which come to mind are Sabaly (Bordeaux), Clarke (Brighton), Maitland-Niles (Arsenal), Chalobah (Watford) and Watkins (Brentford).

We have signed Cav. Knock., and Ried. That could be it , we could go from the extreme of wasting £100m on signing the wrong players two years ago to not wasting a penny this time around.

There will be some signings, Khan Jr has a taste for it. Very guruish in the transfer market.

That would be worse than wasting £100m, we'd go down with even less fight and look thoroughly stupid whilst doing it. Look at Norwich, they've gone down after making minimal changes, and their only decent players are going to get poached by PL teams. They'll have some money in the bank but they're not as rich as we are so that's mainly academic. We can afford to give it a good go in the transfer market so would be stupid not to

@jolslover

I read on the sun article that we want a further 6 signings.

I suspect 2 will be Harrison Reed and Harry Arter - so that leaves 4 signings

Assuming Anguissa and Seri stay I would be happy with the following

RB - Cash
LB - Robinson
CB - ?
Backup ST - ?

Personally I wouldn't make Arter perm and would get Babel instead

I like these suggestions to be honest. I don't think we need Billing if Anguissa stays and we get Reed permanently though
Also I wouldn't sign Watkins. He isn't worth 25m (imo) and we wouldn't spend that on a back up striker

Lets be clear, it is not a back up striker we need but a player to play forward alongside Mitro and to become a goal threat and score 10 to 15 goals a season.

Cav., Knock.and Reid could not achieve this last season, they are not going to do it in the Premier league.

I agree with this entire post.

CB spot being the most important signing IMO.     Imagine how huge an impact Michael Hector had on our season.   Imagine a better version of Michael partnering with Mike.

And no, I don't want a Chelsea CB.   They've been getting stick for their poor defense ALL season.   Not one Chelsea player do I want in our backfield.

Given that Hector wasn't good enough for Chelsea, wouldn't that make their CB's better versions of Hector?

Hector was a Chelsea CB, but deemed inferior to the others. He turned out ok so far.

True.

And Christensen wasn't why Chelsea conceded goals imo.   He's a good defender.

Ok...backtrack.

Asotosyios

I wouldn't mind getting Zappacosta on loan from Chelsea with an option to buy as our regular RB.

What about a goalkeeper. Jack Butland is available, know he had a dodgy spell, but......

No, has completely lost it like Joe Hart did.

I'd get two more center-backs, at least one better than Hector and another similar standard to Hector, plus Reed.

We also need a RB, LB, and CF before deadline day, but these positions are easier to parachute in at the last minute.

I'd like to see us bring on Ben Foster to compete with/insure/mentor Rodak.

Players who haven't played in the Prem before will struggle, I don't think the club will be looking to far into the future, the priority will be to stay in the Prem this time round. So experience in the Prem will be vital.

Yes, but if we signed those players (Cash, Christensen, Billing, Eze) we may get relegated but we'd have the best championship team ever.
