That means those transfer fees are still amortising against our FFP limits, probably hitting our annual FPP limits by £20m-£30m a season depending on their contract lengths. Given we are only allowed to lose £35m a season that is a big deal!

Good post.
Only thing I'd say is that this season, revenue will probably be about £40m+ above expenses before we even start making a loss. So even with the ongoing amortisation of the Seri, Anguissa, Mawson and Mitrovic fees we could still spend a lot, lot more (provided we have an exit strategy in the event of relegation, such as selling players or loaning them out for a fee that'll cover the amortisation)

You are correct, but your post implies the exit strategy is secondary. I would think the exit strategy must be primarily because we have to remain at a minimum a yo-yo team, and build a team that if it gels can stay in the premier league. Parker's job to make the team gel, but even with players that should be good enough for the premier league without a settled centre back partnership, it is very hard to gel in the first 12 games.

New players won't make a huge difference in the next 12 games and we may be facing relegation by then, but I think with the right players we should have a chance to stay up and be able to get back up if relegated.

Losing parachute payments is horrific under FFP even with a wealthy owner. Ten teams have had parachute payments end (Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves, Reading, Wigan, QPR, Hull, Norwich, Sunderland and Middlesbrough) and only two have recovered (Norwich and Wolves). Norwich only recovered because they bought James Maddison with parachute payment money and sold him after; And, Wolves may not have been totally honest with FFP.

So, we need a team that can get automatic promotion from the championship in the next three years, for that we need some mid 20s centre backs and some centre forward cover. If Tony Khan can invest wisely for the next three seasons, we should be able to trigger another season in premier league and be better prepared.

Last season in the championship, people were saying the players are getting old and now people want to buy Pinnock that is peaking, Hector is also peaking and Babel that has peaked long ago. We need to buy the team we wish to have in the championship playoffs in three years from now then see what money is left over for this season.

No point spending a heap of money for the season, if the new players take half a season to imbed, then leave and then we put together another championship team next summer.

As said above by TRF, we definitely need proper cover for Miro.
We have not had that in the two and a half years he has been here invariably playing a false nine when he has not been available.

Agreed we need a team next season the can get us back up should we get relegated.
