Fielded a strong team today and lost. Also lost to palace despite 70% possession. Not good signs for them and a clear team for us to try and better.

Simply can't tell with them.

They let Leicester beat them 9-0 last season, yet after that game went on a good run of form.

Yes...they will be in the relegation battle with us...as will West Brom, Leeds, Villa and West Ham.

The way the media keep going on about Leeds and Bielsa I expect them to win the league by at least 20 points! They lost to Hull tonight! I bet that wont be headlining tomorrow

Leeds did make 11 changes though

We made rather a lot too, but unlike Leeds we beat our third division opponents.

They will be fine. I still think WestHam and WestBrom are my first two to go down.

We made 9

We made 9 changes to field better players, tho
Their manager is the greatest manager in the history of football apparently, so I'd expect them to beat everyone regardless of personnel.  I hope we turn them over,  just to shut some people up.

That says a lot about the lack of depth in Leeds. They'll burn out.
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

I wouldn't say Odoi, MLM, Robinson, BDR, Knockaert and Kebano were better than the players they replaced. And the others we brought it were lacking fitness and familiarity with our team. One of Leeds' changes was to start Rodrigo. IMO they took exactly the same approach as us - played the second string, new signings and players lacking sharpness

Mr K.Dilkington

if ings were to get injured maybe. they were in freefall before he turned it on last season.
Foolish ham

Lyle from Hangeland

Way too early to tell. Hassenhutl knows what he's doing. They should be fine, I think. West Ham looks to implode and West Brom is going to struggle a lot like us.

My wish list for relegation, Leeds, West Ham and Aston Villa.

Wait until end of November to get a truer picture of who's worse than us

I think Palace will also struggle. They have the oldest squad in the Premier League and are overly reliant on zaha

This could become an issue for them. Bielsa didn't do much rotation. Granted, they managed it in the Championship, so they should be able to do it with 8 fewer games.

And if the shoe was on the other foot and Fulham went out in the cup people would roll out the "good we can focus on the league" or "who cares about the cup anyway" canard that usually comes out after we go out in the second round. Hope we can get a cup run for once though.

filham

Good to know that we may have competition for those relegation places.

Southampton have a depleted squad and will need to bring in some more midfielders, but their greatest asset is their manager. I'd love to have him here, they have a great style of play and work hard for each other to make up for the lack of individual quality in some areas. They do also have a quality forward in Ings, which helps.
