RIP Murray

Fernhurst

God Bless Murray, you were a " one off" who we all listened too for decades.
Condolences to your family and friends.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

sunburywhite

One of the all time great commentators

I rember him and James Hunt

RIP Murray
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Fulham Tup North

Another legend from my youth has left us... whenever I think of Motor commentary I think of Murray Walker....
Thoughts with his family...RIP🕯🕯
"Whether you think you can or you think you can't,....you're right"

Cutler

What a great shame that is, must be one of the most iconic voices of all time. He will be greatly missed fans and drivers alike.

davew

Another iconic sports commentator who will be sadly missed but never forgotten, RIP!!
Grandson of a Former Director of FFC (served 1954 - 1968)

Very sad. Says a lot about his talents that he made F1 exciting to listen to.

Twig

Only followed F1 during the Murray era. To be fair it also coincided with some fascinating drivers. None more so than James Hunt who Murray probably saved from an ignominious post career decline.

I loved that he was an obvious fan, a natural not a robot. RIP Murray.

bog

A proper commentator who really knew his trade. RIP Murray

I am so sad, we just lost a giant. I listened to him since the 1970s. He will always be the Vin Scully of motor sport. Rest in peace.
There is only one Fulham Football Club.

Brawn

The single best commentator of all time in any sport, for me.

"I'm sure I speak for many millions of people – tens of millions all around the world – when I say to you, thank you so much for what you've done for Formula 1 over the decades." - Martin Brundle
