Slaphead in Qatar

Look at how Newcastle chuck  players forward when they attack.

We have dropped 19 points from winning positions etc. It's like doing all the hard work an inability to take advantage of that hard work. We have to win tomorrow.

Hopefully the people who this week were saying "it's not over until it's over" will now realise it's over

Steeeeeeeeeed

Newcastle now have a better goal difference than us, and 9 points ahead...

When the story of the season is written, it is the results in the first 10 games that have done for us.
Irrespective of our poor start we have  had the opportunity against Villa, Leeds and Wolves to have all the momentum in this relegation fight but we were not good enough to take those chances.

Also around the festive period toothless draws against Brighton & Southampton as well as a subsequent meek draw at Palace will prove costly.  Don't forget the 2 dropped points at WBA.

Yep the reason we will go down is our result against the bottom 6 teams, and this is why Parker has to go played for draws against teams we should be fighting to win points against

Andyb

First 8 games killed us. Should have recruited quicker.

filham

Newcastle two up at half time against ten men. That puts us nine points adrift with six games to go. Can we finish above West Brom is the only remaining question for our season.

There are teams who are now 7 points ahead of us, if we win the next 6 matches, we get a further 18 points. As to how many we will get is another story.

clarkey

Why didn't Newcastle want Parker as a manager ? He played for them too. Can we offer him to them ?

Stoneleigh Loyalist

They think it's all over. Well it is now !!

Ruislip White

The only silver (ish) lining to our inexplicable collapse, is that we can't feel hard done by or unlucky because the odd VAR decisions like v Spurs or incidents like the West Ham penalty miss.  We'll will go down by a decent margin and I personally won't be thinking 'if only Lookman/Cav scored that pen, if only Cav hit the target v Chelsea etc' we would have stayed up, for months to come!

Some people would rather say i told you so than just support the team

Yep, too conservative.

No invention, no commitment to get players forward when the opportunity present = no goals

Caedal

Agreed. It's been too negative all season. In addition to Parker's terrible tactics, he has not been helped by 80% of the players that got us promoted being utterly terrible, and not stepping up, Mitro and Cairney especially. Only Reed and BDR can come out of this season with any credit whatsoever (of the promotion team)
