They've just beaten Leicester city 8 nil away from home, with goals from O'Neill, Bierith 3, Bowie 2, Harris and Sanderson,
The boys return to the top of the league, above Palace on goal difference,  with two to play, final game away to Chelsea,
Their last 7 games make for interesting viewing,
Fulham 4 Villa 1
Fulham 6 Southampton 0
Fulham 5 Norwich 0
Fulham 4 West Ham 0
Fulham 3 Arsenal 1
Fulham 5 Reading 1
Leicester City 0 Fulham 8
So at what point in their development is the decision made to abandon all that has gone before and to concentrate on keeping the ball and making over 700 passes a game as though that is a positive.
Such a shame that the bold front foot approach is eventually coached out of them.
Fingers crossed the boys again .

I really hope the ones that are capable step up and play for our first team. Great young squad, but we've seen it before, the good ones move on. Our academy produces great talent, we need to nurture them and bring them through, part of the Fulham family.  :yay: :clap_hands:

Absolutely mind blowing results. We have to get some of these lads some minutes next season in the champ. Why not have a couple involved in the last few games this season?! Nothing to play for now

With a couple of those lads in the first team against Burnley we may be in danger of hitting double figures in goals scored at the Cottage this season.

Our record of bringing youngsters isn't great but I really hope some of these lads progress next year.

For a club whose Academy has such a high reputation its odd that more young players have not made it into the 1st team and become regulars?

we could well be champions for the third season running and yer our U 23 results have not shown these players coming through.

Because most of our U23 team has teenagers in it rather than 20+ year olds. Huw Jennings has said on record that they like to make the kids play an age group up because it prepares them physically for men's football. We also tend to send the better U23 players out on loan to get men's team experience because there's only so much academy football that's beneficial. Also worth noting that a lot of prem teams use their 3 over 23 slots for fringe first team players and we very rarely do that except for where players coming back from long term injury need minutes to get match sharpness back

Just a shame so few ever get a game criminal waste.

ALG01

we had a good youth team before but it didn't do us any good.
I suspect this will be TK's next plan, play all the youngsters.

We seem to get one outstanding youngster every few years and they've seem to bypass tha age groups and they move to bigger clubs.
