Although the odds are stacked against us I wouldn't assume anything, even with a 2% chance of survival. Survival is possible and I certainly haven't seen a team that's given up.

Scott won't allow the  players to give up while there is still a chance , however  slight.

I expect he will still want to win the games left, even if/when relegation is confirmed, and just playing for pride.

That's the problem. He seems not to want to lose games. Winning is a mentality...he doesn't have it.

It would have been pleasant for once in the Khan era to have a Club that gave PL survival their everything at the very first opportunity.  Our owners didn't have the nous to allow that to happen and conspired to confound it.  Since then the dross has got worse and worse, and the mistakes ever more commonplace.  Relegation, if it happens, is a disaster but, with skilled hands on the tiller, can be made a turning point for the whole Club and its ethos.   Will it happen?  I am not optimistic, TBH.

The evidence of failed personnel is there for all of us to see, not least the posting of 'multi-talented TK's latest in-depth interview' [sic] by a third party in which FFC gets a passing reference.  We have been left relying upon other teams to fail which has been the case with all the knife edge situations we have seen under the Khans.  We do not have a winning formula behind the scenes and so I am just grateful to have witnessed the class of Andersen and Areola in this very, very disappointing season.   I just hope that TK does the right thing and leaves FFC well alone.  That, at least, gives us a chance.

Agreed watching Andersen has been one of the few pleasures this season. After Liverpool I felt sure we would stay up. This makes the last few weeks even more of a disappointment

So did I, these last few weeks have been really disheartening after that great win at Liverpool. Really though we would kick on after that.
Stand up if you still believe!

Can we convince the Man U fans to protest enough for our game with them to be cancelled? They don't need to points to qualify for the CL so a 3 nil win for us can hope fully be arranged...
Oh dear, that sounds like clutching at straws that are just not there.

The Glazers would love, Burnley to go down as the less team in the traditional county of Lancashire the better for them in terms of local support and the more overcrowed London is with PL clubs, the better for them too. Thanks to the Glazers the ManUnited players are all on bonus' for winning the Europa, so players know their priorities.

yeah, i suspect they will field a strong team against us and rotate in the final game since the final is only a few days after that.

Correct.

There's a massive difference between playing to win and playing not to lose.
