Parker should do the decent thing. RESIGN :

Well though I agree & you would like to think he would do the honourable thing I doubt he has the moral compass to honour that. I guess he will drag it out (nightmare scenario for us next season) or wait for the inevitable pay off. He is unlikely ever to be trusted to get a more serious job in the Premiership than FFC. Surely even Spuds can't be that stupid?
Unless Khan has a plan to replace him which kicks in to-night / tomorrow?

First State

Agreed 100%. It's time for him to go.

Rambler

He has to go.

The second most important thing is we now have to try and sign premiership quality players willing to play in the championship. Just like what Newcastle were like when they went down. Stop with all these loans.
We need some form of a permanent premiership quality squad already there if we get promoted again

Deeping_white

Anyway what sums it up for me is that could give useful minutes to anyone that's going to be here next season but no he's giving 15 mins to the wage thief RLC who couldn't give 2 sh*ts. Bin him off tonight and drop the loanees for the last 3 games, give Wigley 3 games to play the youngsters and core championship team for next year instead and at least give us some cause for optimism next season.

South Coast White

Why wait until tomorrow, just get out of this club Scott, you will get more respect from us than staying.

Fulham Tup North

I really hope he leaves....I cannot face another season of such torrid, boring, gutless, non-creative, backwards passing, depressing football  PLEASE Scott.. do us all a favour.....😡😡🥱🤬⚽️
"Whether you think you can or you think you can't,....you're right"

Jules

I do think he will leave anyway. He is dejected and I can't see him with us next season. Maybe best all round to change things up. Give someone else the reigns and let's rebuild with a view to getting back in 2 seasons time.

I find it a little funny that every time there is a Parker in or out thread posted, it's always majority Parker In. Then when we lose, everyone is all Parker Out.

I'm not sure if all the Parker Out fans are just more vocal about it or what.

I actually think we should keep Parker. Sure, this season wasn't great as we have now been relegated, but we were in almost every game once we got our defense sorted. It really was our lack of investment in a capable forward line that has screwed us this year. I'm all for Parker being given another go...look at Norwich! We need stability!

mancwhite

I think he is a decent guy and I have no reason or wish to question his integrity. There is no reason for him to resign he has a number of years left on his contract. I would like to see another manager as I dont like his style of football and despite having a decent but average set of players ever since the bonus of beating
Liverpool reserves he has failed to build on that and this team has gradually got worse since that game which is down to his coaching and leadership
Your just too good to be true Fulham

The things is, we know what he's capable of in the Championship because we saw it last season.
He produced under whelming football but got lucky last time, even if he gets lucky again we will be no better off.

Time to go!

The squad isn't good enough. No manager could get a tune out of this team.

See this is a bit of a myth, Burnley man for man aren't a more talented team and yet they're currently 14th because they're well drilled as a unit and know their roles because Dyche is a better manager

Really ? I think that's a bit of a myth too. Burnley are much better than they are given credit for. Their squad has been together for a long time whereas our squad was thrown together a month into the season.

Okay so which Burnley players would you have over the current Fulham players, in isolation of the form that we find ourselves in? They're a team of limited players who have played 4-4-2 as long as they've been Burnley players and they only play direct football because it's the only way they know. A better manager gets results from this team, the tactics and substitutions make no sense literally week after week and that sits with the manager

Burnley mix their game up. It's not always direct and they certainly aren't limited.  Players like Mee, Tarkoski, Pope and McNeil are decent and are all contracted to Burnley like most of their team. And there lies the issue. We are Loan United. We have a few very good players supported by others that are out of their depth in the Premier League. Unfortunately our best players are the loanees who will be moving on very soon. Until we recruit with an eye on the future rather than the short term (Cavaleiro, Reid, Knockhart) this rollercoaster will continue.

OK, SP may go. But what quality manager/coach would take on the role with TK calling the shots?
We have seen this before. Quality managers demand control over their squads.

Burnley have 4 capable forwards in their squad. We have one. Not even remotely comparable. Parker's not been brilliant, too passive for me, but TK is the far bigger problem. Until he's no longer in charge of transfers we'll always struggle in the prem.

Burnley are relying on Matej Vydra. He has scored 6 goals the last 3 seasons.

With a few exceptions (who you could all name) our players are generally technically good. But they are not quite pacey enough and definitely not big enough. They often get outmuscled and don't have the pace to get themselves out of trouble.

This will not be popular but I think the one thing that had impressed me thus season has been the class of Scott Parker.

We have not achieved what was required, which would have been difficult enough after such a short break between seasons.

The first few games were dreadful but we started to find our rhythm. There were some great performances but in the end our lack of fire power and our home performances were not good enough.

I hope Scott stays, learns, rebuilds from the core team and gives us a good run at automatic promotion next season.

I like his honesty and his commitment. He is still learning and I would rather Scott was our manager than anyone else.

There is also a good core team to build upon - and he knows their strengths and weaknesses

The voice of reason. We also have to stop this self inflicting damage to both the short and long term future of the club by bringing in so many loanees, we just go round in circles.
