Looking at the schedule Fulham has a clear path to going undefeated this season. Chances are in won't happen, but beautiful things do happen from time to time and I think this year might just be the year for Fulham's first Invincible season. There is nothing crackpot about this... it can happen.

Please, Fulham fans, do you part and spread love and joy the squad's and staff's way. Some of you need to try really hard to be better versions of yourselves that what you actually are. If I can do it, we can do it. Let's do this!  049:gif

Very much hope your optimism is justified. I'm rather more pessimistic, although I hope I'm wrong. The keeper, back 4 and midfield look strong provided Reed stays and Cairney is fully fit. It's up front which concerns me.

If Mitrovic stays, remains fit, uninjured and free from suspensions then I think we will do well. Without him we will struggle. Last season showed the problem clearly. We don't have another capable central striker. Cavaleiro was pushed into a position he isn't suited to once it became clear Kamara wasn't up to the job.  Stansfield might come through or a new young quick striker is needed.

Stansfield and Carvalho must be moving up this season. I think we'll score plenty of goals.

Can see us smashing Tigana's 101-point record. I'm going 105.....

I'll say 106. 30 wins and 16 draws.  :wow:

I reckon 32 wins, 9 draws and 5 defeats; my loins are well and truly girded. Wonder what Paddy Power will give me for that

I hope our optimism is not misplaced.... :022:

It's not. I have had three dreams about it. All good things come in threes!

Please can I have some of what you're on? I always start the season believing and before every game believing, but crikey, this is mad! COYW  049:gif

Unless one of our players get injuried (eg Mawson, Kongolo, Reed, Cairney or Onamah) we win the championship and being undefeated is a possibility. Too many injuries and we won't even make the playoffs.

While I'm not feeling as positive as that, if we keep the squad together we should win the league. It's a very weak looking league this year. Can't see how we won't be favourites

Woolly Mammoth

I would like to think Lyle of H is correct in his predictions but this is Fulham, and if we can keep certain players in key positions that can give us a launching pad then a little surgery needs to be done to dot the eyes and cross the tees.
But the Championship is a jungle and can be unforgiving with obstacles and pot holes and banana skins all along the way with somebody ready to ambush us at any time.
Any one can beat any other team on their day, then there are injuries to contend with and Fulhams Florence Nightingale Ward always seems to be packed to capacity with walking wounded.
Talking about winning the League is one thing, but believing it at this current moment is fools gold.
Only one team can win it out of 23, and only 3 can go up and there will be 20 others waiting to trip us up.
It's the old classic one game at a time all the way through the season. What Fulham can do with is a good start for once, not chasing the pack early on.
The word ruthless has to come into Fulhams Dictionary and our Captain has to be a Leader and a Warrior who is able to master his troops on the field in adversity.
No lightweights or passengers or deadwood or big time Charlie's need apply to be selected in the squad.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Personally I don't think we will be promoted. With our poor finances (thanks TK) we probably can't sign players that will strengthen the squad without selling. With the possible exception of Mitro we will probably have to sell our most valuable players at a loss (thanks again TK) or send them out on loan and weaken the squad in the process. Add a couple of injury prone CBs and I think we may realistically end up anywhere between 4th to 12th.

On the positive side I think our squad is too strong to be relegated. My biggest fear is that we completely mess up the transfer window by selling our best players without replacing them or get a slow start because we wait for deadline day bargains and emergency loans. If this happens we may find ourselves near the relegation zone at some point. I still don't think we will actually be relegated though. But we can't afford our usual slow start to the season if we're aiming for automatic promotion.

Still, all of this is pure speculation until the transfer window closes and also until we've seen how Silva adapts to the Championship. Let's hope he doesn't do a Magath and underestimate the quality of the Championship.

I know this may all sound a bit negative and I hope I'm wrong of course! But all this talk about going unbeaten and 100+ points is pure fantasy IMO.

With but 3 weeks to the start we seem to be in no mans land, rumours are around about Mitro, Anguissa, Reed, Tete, Stefjo and Robinson leaving so it is hard to foresee a possible starting lime up.

At this stage I am desperately hoping for a  big improvement on last season's nine goals at home, that has to be the first target.

I disagree about the poor finances. Since the ones from 2019 were published we've barely spent any money on players, earned £106m from Premier League prize money, (https://www.planetfootball.com/quick-reads/a-club-by-club-breakdown-of-the-2020-21-premier-league-prize-money/) and now have parachute payments.

Just can't see how we can possibly be in any danger in FFP over the 3 year cycle. We also have quite a few assets which we could sell if Silva doesn't rate them

Fair enough. It's true Leicester wouldn't won the Premier League without not having injuries to their starting 11.
