Bryan and Kebano

Some of the interplay between them was excellent.  They seemed to have a very good understanding with each other and Joe's well thought out and measured approach was one of the reasons Kebano was excellent last night.  Would love to see more of this combination.

Joe was fine.

But I don't think his presence was the reason Kebano played as well as he did. That seems wishful thinking.

Joe's performance didn't stand out as being better than Robinson would likely have performed, in my opinion.

Football is a game of opinions and it's funny how we all see things, we all thought Bryan was non effective last night, Robinson would have crucified their right back especially after he had picked up his yellow card,
I hope Robinson is restored next Saturday away to Luton.

My thoughts exactly. We missed his explosive space on the overlaps and Joe's delivery was very poor last night contra to what many claim is his advantage over Robinson. With the very high line of their defence it was crying out for the ball into space for someone with real pace to latch onto. Unfortunately Joe does not have that so our attacking options were restricted

Sorry but this is just patently false.

He put in plenty of quality crosses and his general build up play was good.

He had to be disciplined in his role as Jaidon Anthony was stuck on the wing and posing a threat on the counter and he did it well.

I don't think this statement is any more accurate than the one you are decrying.

Robinson would have been annihilated last night. There is no way on this earth, he is better than Bryan.
I honestly don't understand the Robinson love in on this forum. He's yet to do anything other than disappoint me.
He has pace. Thats literally it.

Whitestone

Robinson isn't perfect but I would select him in front of Bryan for his defensive qualities and pace. We're lucky to have the pair of them.

I Ronic

Joe's not as fast as Robinson but he make space for Nesskens and draws players away from Nesskens.
Always feel nervous with Robinson, a clumsy tackle and/or a card never seems far away.

We missed Robinson yesterday IMO. Joe Bryan looked well off the pace and didnt get alot right. To be fair he hasnt played for a while but looked like the weak link in our back line.

Have to agree with this. I love Joe but his  quality crosses were not really there and his lack of pace compared to Jedi was clear to see.

I honestly don't get your love-in with Bryan but I respect your right to an opinion. It's just one that I and many others on here disagree with vehemently.

That's the beauty of forums such as this so everyone gets a voice.

I was very disappointed with Joe's final ball last night, save for the one cross late on that BDR nearly got on the end of

SG

Thank goodness. I thought it was me - his crosses particularly in the first half right in front of me were poor. Overhit or not getting past the first man. He rarely if at all overlapped which is a key part of our attacking game.

He put in one half decent cross in the second half and that was it. His first attempt went straight into the crowd and all but one that followed that didn't beat the first man

St Eve

I also think that we missed Robinsons overlaps and speed. I like Bryan and his crosses are a major plus, but not last night

Willham

I also feel bryan had a poor game yesterday, grew into the game but first half was abysmal delivery. The first into the crowd, all the others couldnt get off the ground, usually quite good at a late charge into the box but didnt see much of that.

Second half much better, I'm sure it was one of his crossed that landed on mitros head for one of his good chances.

Also liked his little faint to draw in one of their men to do a late charge forward, leaving their man to pull him down and get a yellow. (This might have been the free kick he took for mitros header)

Also want to note, tosins defensive side was all over the place yesterday, if it werent for the goal I thought he was having a shocker.

Too flat footed for their goal. Had to recover when put of position for a ball over the top when odoi tried to head it too him, I saw a lot of posts blaming odoi for that but I thought tosin was completely out of place. He should of been stood where odoi was likely to head that, I dont usually like Odoi. Love the man but when hes on the pitch I struggle to relax. But he had a difficult task and he did well, he was the only man who tried to follow the run for their goal, tosin Should of been covering but hadn't even got on his toes yet.

We didnt play too bad but I dont think anyone really shone. Ream had a good game, recovered every time he nearly slipped and did enough. Feel he carried our defence yesterday, odoi trys his hardest which he did again, tosin was lazy, on tracking back and providing and option for the ball and was lazy picking passes, ream was really good and bryan was a ghost of himself first half.

With that said we still got a draw and only conceded one. But if I were manager I wouldnt be happy with the defence yesterday.

copthornemike

We are fortunate to have two excellent LBs like Bryan & Robinson. Though Bryan was not on top form last night, particularly crossing. Noticeable Bournemouth tried to target Bryan in the second half, although maybe an attempt to pin back Kebano which did work to a degree. Mind you just meant Odoi and Wilson started to cause them trouble down their left flank.

Yep agreed. I thought it was quite telling that Solanke constantly got chances from playing off Bryan and Odoi rather than Tosin and Ream.

We missed Robinson and Tete yesterday. I believe Robinson was unwell which is fair enough and Bryan hasn't played for a while, which showed in his performance. It baffles me why Tete hasn't started the last two games. There maybe reasons but it certainly can't be on ability. He is easily one of the best right backs in the division, probably the best actually.
