It seems like Napoli are no longer intent on signing Anguissa permanently at this stage. This means we are obviously restricted to loan signings, unless we sell a few fringe players (Knockart, Cavaleiro, Christie) for reasonable fees - which is unlikely obviously!

Without a doubt we do need a least one incoming midfielder, with Seri off for the month, Reed and Cairney not exactly in exhilarating form and Chalobah an unknown quantity in some respects. I haven't seen anything from Onomah this season to suggest he can be relied upon and Quina looks to be on his way back to Watford, which is for the best I would say. So, the Okay feller looks like a good bet - but hopefully we do have a back-up option if he goes elsewhere (and either way need to get the deal over the line soon...)

The Ivory Coast's first game is on the 12th of January and the competition's final is on the 6th of February, with only one game after the close of the transfer window and it's against Middlesbrough. Fulham can keep Quina until the end of the transfer window, and Seri away will give Fulham a good chance to trial our other midfielders.

Isnt Quinta here on a season long loan? Which would mean the only way we can send him back is if there is a break clause, we ask Watford if the will terminate the loan and they agree or Watford ask us to terminate the loan and we agree. Is wither of the last 2 likely as in would Watford agree or ask us too? Only if they have another loan option line up i guess as I cannot see them using him.

A few Championship clubs, eg Forest, apparently expressing an interest in Millwall's Jed Wallace who is out of contract at the end of the season so Millwall might have a few of looking for some fee rather than no fee if his contract runs down.
He is 28 so no spring chicken but a proven goal scoring and creative wide man who could create competition for Kebano and Wilson?
Jarrod Bowen has done welll since his move to West Ham, Wallace is potentially just as good so worth a punt? Maybe offer one of our frying squad players as part of the deal, eg Knockaert!

Think the word is he is signing a pre contract agreement with Besiktas, sure i read that somewhere yesterday.

I would go for Dembele at Posh considering he is out of contract in the summer
Did not look like an upgrade to me.

Pending the price, I'd love us to look at Isaiah Jones. Think he looks the real deal at the moment and has the pace we'd need if we went up. Sometimes lack in the decision making but with some decent coaching, I'd love him in and around the squad.

Dembele fits the mould perfectly for me - young potentially cheap attacker who could provide some spark now, but also contribute in the premier league season should we get promoted.

Mmm...very good scoring record 1:5 matches but heading for 26 years old. Chairman wants £7-8 million (yep want & gets are two different things) but Dembele will want a 3/4 year contract. I've only seen him fleetingly and he is tricky but we're going to need better if we are to go up & stay up?

As a Peterborough local I think they came out and said they'd take about £3-4m in the local press - they're fairly resigned to going down at this point and know they'll lose him on a free if not

Rumour is Watford want to cancel the loan and send him somewhere else on loan where he will get more playing time.

That would work for us then, if it was just a cost thing from their side and not a playing thing then they will just leave him with us

Silva has quite clearly stated that Quina has not been working hard enough in training and must show more effort to stand a chance of selection.
He quite obviously does not fancy him.

The following players contracts are up this summer (I think) :

Ben Mee
Callum Chambers
John Swift
Todd Cantwell
Eddie Nketiah
Ben Brereton (1 year extension clause)

I think they would all make pretty good additions. Not saying they're the way forward but I would certainly be looking at some of those names. I also like Rob Holding from Arsenal who I think would be a good singing for us.

I think the Turkish midfielder if he has good has the people say is a priority.

I thing they'd all be good signings though I'm not sure how old Mee is, maybe too old? I don't think we will be able to afford Brereton though.

Blackburn want £20m for Brereton btw, no chance of it happening

Isn't his contract up in less than a year though? Can't see how they will get that for him to be honest.

Blackburn are currently second in the table and he has scored roughly half their goals so I assume they'd prefer to keep him and have a shot at promotion.

Whilst I get that, that doesn't detract from clubs finances and short length or his contract (and hes not even on a big deal one) limiting his transfer value. We'll see I guess but I'd be surprised if they found a suitor for 20m.
