Any news ?
Jim was saying how Tom was limping about after the game, hopefully it's nothing as we really can't afford to lose him for any amount of time, his performances have been getting better by the game.

I enjoy watching us about 5 X more when he's on the pitch

What a player, I still struggle to believe that so many had written him off, Bongo etc...

mrmicawbers

He always seems to walk with that gait.

Jules

I heard he was holding his head like he had a clash of some kind. Hopefully not serious and back starting on Saturday.

He got caught on the head by an elbow and took a few mins to get up.
Don't think he had any other injuries.

cookieg

Maybe if he'd have got his head in the way of the shot for their first goal rather than duck he may have had a headache.

It was a good strike but thought Rodak should have saved it. Went with his wrong hand outstretched

Yeah I know about the head injury but Jim was saying it looked like he was carrying an injury on his right side. He does tend to walk with a bit of a swagger though so hopefully not a concern

With but one change, at right back, in the last three great performances our best team is well established and although we have good cover for most positions, it is going to be difficult to replace Tom Cairney. With Seri away all we have for that deep midfield position is Onomah  and Chalobah and although they have both been given some game time they fall far short of Tom.
Lets hope Tom recovers for Saturday.

Peabody

You could see he was limping as he came of.

If he's going to defend then he needs to do it properly not bottle it when the ball is kicked at him. If he'd have done what he should have done he'd have blocked the ball and they don't score.

H4usuallysitting

He had to come off.... He had 3 hair's out of place

He's put in some good challenges recently. To suggest he's a bottler is frankly disgusting and you should be ashamed. Even the best specialist defender makes a mistake sometimes. How about focussing on all the good things he's been doing?

Not ashamed at all to highlight this. He also got turned inside out against Bristol City and they scored.

If anything needs turning inside out it's you
Not one good thing to say other then to criticize
Bit pathetic, did he steal your girlfriend in the past or something ?

TC's Sporran

and against bristol city he made a challenge to win the ball that led to a goal. but lets focus on the negative stuff instead.

Tbh Piri, I still don't think he will cut it in the prem. He hasn't the times he's been there and he's getting no younger. I'm pleased he's recovered from injury, and I'm the first to admit that I thought it had finished him. I'm glad for the young man that it hasn't. As for performances, he's played in games where he's had loads of time to spread the ball against what has been (on the day) weak opposition. Let's see how he fares when he's really tested. I hope he holds it together both physically and skill wise. Maybe Silva is working the same magic as he is doing with Mitro. My view is the same. Great in the championship, but unfortunately not quite good enough in the prem, and this time around we won't have room for passengers.

TC's Sporran

just before his injury in the prem he had 3 good games, was mom v everton. so he was cutting it.
stop rewriting history.

Happy 31st birthday to Tom anyway!
