So from what I've seen this season, we have a fundamental problem with how we've set up.

From the formation we're playing, we're trying to basically replicate how Chelsea play. The problem is neither of our DMs cover the gaps left by our fullbacks when they go forward, which drags the centre backs out wide leaving us with free attackers in the centre.

Offensively we cant seem to get anything going. The wide players have been offering nothing, and we generally are playing from behind so the opposition can sit back which we find impossible to break down. We have massive gaps between the 2 DMs and Pereira which is where our attacks are generally breaking down.

I think we need to just have the fullbacks and the DM just sit. Have someone more progressive playing with Pereira ahead of that to have a better link up with the forward 3. We also need far far more from all of our wide players. Currently none of them are doing anything.

It's not a RB problem. We get exposed every time the switch sides with a long ball. Same vs Newcastle.

Seems to be less of a problem when we have Tete. Positions is all out of whack. Also don't think Tosin was the problem really.
I think we over reacted to a game where we had 10men for 84mins and then 3 goals that shouldn't have been given last week and we look way more disorganised with this defence as a result

Mbabu and Willian at half time for me. Mitro didn't look 100% fit, but the service has been dire so don't think he would have done much better even if he was fully fit.

Yeah, on the 2nd he points around to everyone else when Lerma scores, seemingly not realizing he was the one who ran past him and didn't stop to mark him.

I thought diops position for the 2nd was questionable  tbh...why Harrison hasn't had a shot is mad, 3 great positions to have a pop only to give up the oppurtunity

Mitro has been rushed back too early on this showing, we may as well be playing with 10 men. Both wingers have been poor, James especially. The scoreline is fair and we're lucky to be only one down, so disappointing.

Poor poor poor first half, if not for Lenos double save at the end there would be 3-1 down. We don't look at it, apart from the goal Diop isn't looking any better than Tosin for me.
