We start as the underdogs. Brentford have scored 6 without reply. Its been a couple or so games since we did that. Lets see what happens. Silva has instilled fight in the side and the defence is solid(ish).

I'd expect the same team out.

It's to early to call it a must win game, but this is certainly one of those games we should be looking to pick up three points from. Hoping we can bring in a forward before the game.

Pereira is injured, the team will be 'shuffled'.

I saw he picked up a knock, but haven't see anything about him being out this week? If he's out, then I guess TC or Jay will play in that role.  Hoping we bring in another player before the game

I asked about this in another thread and apparently Silva said Pereria was fine, nothing serious. So I doubt he's injured unless something else has surfaced?

They come as big favourites to win in my eyes. They have been a very good team for several years now and are set up well. Plus playing us is always a cup final for them so they'll be up for it. Their fans are obsessed with us and QPR. I got a mate who is Brentford, nice geezer but weird as love - like most Brentford fans I find and he spends more time talking about Fulham than Brentford!... so a good team but they are still a very small club with small club mentalities so they'll be massively up for it. We definitely need a win. Draws at home to mid table teams are no good. The prem is so cut throat. I'm predicting 1-1 though.

With Wilson, Solomon and possibly Pereira out injured we are a weakened team.
Possible line up

                                                                                  Leo
                                                              Mbabu     Tosin     Ream    Robinson
                                                                        Reed      Palhinha

                                                                              Cairney
                                                            BDR             Mitro         Kebano

We will again have to fight like dogs and Mitro will need to convert the penalty but it is going to be so hard to get the three points.

Mbabu and Robinson will need to prove themselves in attack because BDR and Kebano will be locked down by the Bees defense.

Also, if we want to compare performances, Liverpool are currently completely dominating Crystal Palace.

Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

Agree, I think that is a good-looking team. Question would be how fit Tom is.  Though if Tom did start MS could always look to bring Stansfield on in the 70th minute or even earlier to give him more minutes.

I personally think Mitro does better with a strike partnership rather than playing a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1.  Would rather see a 4-4-2 with the strike partner playing slightly deeper off his shoulder.

As I said in the opening OP, Fulham have a tough set of fixtures coming up so teams like Brentford and even Brighton, I'm hoping can produce all three points for Fulham.

2-1 to Fulham in a very high intensity match.

Must match the Brentford work rate. Fulham has better players but need to apply themselves to the max.

Not so sure about that. Do we really have better players than this Brentford team overall? Questionable.
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

Tempest

Good game, 2-1 or 3-2 to us. Can only see a win.

Same team most likely. A game we should be looking to win. 5 points from 3 would be a good start - 2 points from 3, not so much.

I'd be disappointed if we failed to bring in a forward this week, given our injury situation.
Even if 3 forwards come in are they going to replace Mitro, they probably would just about make the bench.

Don't think it'll be a draw but realistically see a Brentford win as they seem to love winning at the cottage + looked very sharp vs united. Should be a great game - hope our fans are up for it although it's more of a cup final for Brentford.

So how does that work then? A Brentford win and "a great game" are absolute polar opposites.

As painful as it is to say, Brentford have become an extremely well run club from top to bottom, plus have an exciting style on the pitch and a knack of consistently unearthing gems of players. That said, we have struck gold in hiring a much improved Silva with the kinks ironed out and has show - crucially - who is tactically flexible enough to successfully adapt his free scoring Champ team into a solid an effective Prem team (with largely the same players). Hoping we can get through 2-1 but given how good Brentford are, a 0-0 or 1-1 wouldn't be a disaster.

Riversider

Could we not play both Tete AND Mbabu,  Tete at right back with Mbabu further forward replacing either BDR or Kebano.
Score prediction 1-3 Brentford.

As much as i would love a win, i feel it may be another draw.

This is a match that we need to lay down a 'marker', a good performance and win will do that.

Thailand Mick

Struggling to see where the goals are coming from so am hoping we can shut them out and nick one.     1-0 I like the idea of playing Mbabu in front of Tete, maybe try a 442

                           Rodak
Tete       Tosin.           Ream.      Robinson
Mbabu  Palhina.       Reed.        Kebano
               Reid.            Mitro

Tough game. Have watched both of their games, and they are playing well. Think we'll take something from the game, but not convinced that we'll get the win.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
