Just read an article about him consoling an Iranian player after they beat them yesterday.  What a class act that man is!  With all the politics between the US and Iran what a great reaction it makes a great story of simple humanity.

So good at the end of that match to see sport being put before politics. Beginning to think that maybe some good could come out of this ill conceived World Cup.

Should be the norm really? USA have achieved nothing other than going through to the next round, not really much  to celebrate there but getting knocked out can be disheartening.

Still, in this day and age where everything seems to be about yourself and not others he has shown some dignity, it's just a shame it's seen as "class" rather than normality.

Well , I think Robinson will be coming home worth a million or two more in the transfer market than when he left. No doubt TK will look upon that as a positive.

I just hope that his form will continue and contribute to us holding a top half of the table position for the rest of the season.

This is awesome. Good on Antonee.

This was a game between two well matched teams both with a similar chance to qualify. It's good that no-one seemed to.politicise it beyond that, particularly given the Iranian players' clear views on the protests going on in their country. Good to see the humanity between the players. As with many international disputes, the issue is a clash of ideologies not between ordinary people.

Not sure why this is a big thing? players console other players all the time in knock out games and matches in general. He is a footballer not a politician lol

Simply because of the degree of empathy for his Iranian counterpart. Let's not minimise what is a rare act or real kindness. We've been lucky with our American players particularly McBride, Ream and now Robinson
