Pellegrini torn between Lazio, Fulham and Nice
Luca Pellegrini is set to leave Juventus this summer, but while Fulham agreed terms with the player, Juventus are leaning towards either Lazio or OGC Nice instead.

The full-back made the move to Juve from Roma for €22m in 2019 and has struggled to make a regular impact during loans at Cagliari, Genoa, Eintracht Frankfurt and most recently Lazio.

His contract runs to June 2025 and the Bianconeri are eager to get him off their books with a sale, which is why the request from Lazio for an extended loan has so far been rejected.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Fulham have agreed personal terms with Pellegrini and his agent, but that doesn't mean a deal is done.

They have not worked out a fee with Juventus, who would prefer to sell him to OGC Nice instead for €8m.

This is not the first time Fulham have hit problems trying to get a full-back from Serie A, as they had an agreement with Milan only for Fode Ballo-Toure to turn them down.

This seems to be an exact reverse of that situation, as the player wants them, but there is no deal with Juve.

"He did his job perfectly"- Fulham boss Marco Silva impressed with Bassey's debut showing against Chelsea
Bassey just joined Fulham last week, but he already seems to be comfortable with the Londoners

Fulham coach Marco Silva has praised Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey for his debut performance against Chelsea in a pre-season encounter, Soccernet reports.

Bassey struggled to fit in at Amsterdam last season following his transfer from Rangers. The Nigerian defender struggled to get playtime under coach John Heitinga as he was often the scapegoat whenever Ajax lost.

Even new boss Maurice Steijn, who just took over at Ajax this summer, advised him to move because he was not an important member of the team.

Bassey joined Premier League side Fulham last week in a transfer worth €22.5million, and he was given a baptism of fire. His first game was against Chelsea in a pre-season fixture in America.

The Super Eagles star was introduced into the game at halftime when Chelsea were already two goals up, and he put up a good performance.

Fulham boss Silva was impressed after Bassey's showing, even though they lost 2-0.

"It was his[Bassey] first 45 minutes. I told him I didn't want to see anything brilliant or extraordinary from him," Marco Silva said, per Voetbal Flitsen.

"I wanted him to start simple so he could have some confidence. And he did it perfectly".

"If he gets to know his teammates even better, knows the patterns and principles, then he can show even more. Also, on the ball, he is a very strong lad. It is only a matter of time before he is fully integrated."

Bassey would be expected to play a major role at Fulham next season because of the departure of Tosin Adarabioyo.

Fulham have agreement with fullback – Whites now must find deal with club
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio today shares some news on Fulham's attempt to sign Juventus fullback Luca Pellegrini.

According to his report, the Whites aren't the only club in the race for the 25-year-old, since the likes of OGC Nice and Lazio are also interested.

Fulham seem to have a bit of an advantage as they already have an agreement with the player over a move to Craven Cottage.

Nice, meanwhile, are said to have a deal with Juventus, and should now work to convince Pellegrini.

It's Lazio who seem to stand behind in the race for now. They had him on loan, but seem to have made no big efforts for the permanent move, as their interest is claimed to be on 'stand-by' for now.

Di Marzio just doesn't make it clear how much the agreement between Nice and Juventus is worth, as matching that offer is all that Fulham may need to win the battle for the signing.

Marco Silva's side are said to be keen on Pellegrini as an alternative to Fodé Ballo-Touré, on whom they missed out.

Fulham planning to pounce for Pellegrini
Fulham have joined the race to sign Juventus left-back Luca Pellegrini, according to reports from Italy this evening.

Sky Sports Italia are suggesting this evening that the Whites, who are seeking back up to Antonee Robinson ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign, have agreed personal terms with the 24 year-old and the Italian international is keen to move to Craven Cottage despite interest from Lazio and Nice.

Juve are eager to get Pellegrini's wages off the books to finance several summer signings, including that of another Fulham target in the form of Leicester's Timothy Castagne. He is under contract for a further two years having struggled to make an impact with the Bianconeri, making just 21 first-team appearances since signing from Roma three years ago. The Rome-born full back has spent the last two seasons on loan with Eintracht Frankfurt and Lazio, whose bid to extend his loan for another season has already been rejected.

Juventus would like to sell Pellegrini to Nice for around £6m but the attacking left-back would prefer to play in the Premier League. Fulham view their long-term transfer target as an alternative to Milan defender Fode Ballo-Toure, who rejected the chance to move to London last week.

Fulham agree fee for Gray
Fulham have agreed a fee with Everton for Demarai Gray, according to Sky Sports News tonight.

The clubs have verbally agreed a fee for the former Birmingham City and Leicester City winger with Everton reluctant to green light the transfer until they have signed a replacement, but the deal is set to proceed as the Jamaican international wants to reignite his career at Craven Cottage.

Reports from across the continent suggest that the fee for Gray, who has agreed an initial three-year contract with the Whites, is around £7m.

This is one of the advantages of being a London club. But don't forget that Clay  bought us for that reason. Being in a nice place on the river made us an attractive proposition  for Marler Estates as well as our regression as a club. We are now back to where we belong. None of the other top clubs in London suffered in the way we did and we were lucky. Tommy Trinder was right
