'Talks ongoing' - Brighton in 'driving seat' for Championship gem but face stiff competition from Brentford, Arsenal and Fulham
Brighton are reportedly in talks to sign Leicester star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The Athletic's football correspondent David Ornstein has reported that The Foxes want £30m for the midfielder – but there remains a 'gap in valuation'.

"Brighton in negotiations with Leicester to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall," Ornstein exclusively reported on Friday evening (January 26).

"Gap in valuations but talks ongoing. Competition from Brentford (Arsenal + Fulham admire too) but European football puts Brighton in driving seat."

The 25-year-old has nine goals and nine assists this season and has played a key part in Leicester being seven-points clear at the top of Championship.

Nigeria's starting XI v Cameroon: Aina, Iwobi, Onyeka, Lookman, Zaidu start; Omeruo, Aribo not in XI
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that José Peseiro has released his starting lineup for the Super Eagles' round of 16 tie with Cameroon.

The former Porto coach has made four changes to the side that started against Guinea Bissau with former Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi, former Watford defender William Troost-Ekong, Porto fullback Zaidu Sanusi and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman being reinstated into the starting line up.

He has opted to stick with his 3-4-3 formation for the third consecutive game and has unsurprisingly kept faith with Stanley Nwabali in goal.

Semi Ajayi will continue his stint at right center back, Calvin Bassey at left center back while Ekong will play in between them as the sweeper.

Cobham product Ola Aina returns to his right wing-back role, replacing Bright Osayi-Samuel while Zaidu Sanusi will play on the opposite flank.

Partnering Iwobi in the middle of the park is Frank Onyeka who has started all games so far and only failed to complete the encounter against Guinea-Bissau.

In attack, Samuel Chukwueze has dropped to the bench for the second time in the tournament and has been replaced by Ademola Lookman who came on as a substitute for him against the Wild Dogs.

Completing the lineup is Moses Simon who is set to  start for the second consecutive game for the first time in the completion and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Nigeria's starting lineup v Cameroon: Nwabali; Ajayi, Troost-Ekong, Bassey; Aina, Onyeka, Iwobi, Zaidu; Moses Simon, Lookman, Osimhen

Up next: Newcastle United (h)
Fulham have an immediate opportunity to bounce back from the disappointment of their League Cup semi-final defeat by Liverpool when Newcastle United head to Craven Cottage for tonight's FA Cup fourth round tie.

Marco Silva has insisted that his side have already set aside their narrow failure to defeat the Reds on Wednesday night, even if the drama might have been a little too much for Jurgen Klopp. The Portuguese head coach is still fired up by the memory of how a place in the semi-finals slipped away during a minute of madness at Old Trafford last year and will be desperate to record a win over the Magpies, who have won all three encounters since Fulham returned to the top flight.

Newcastle's aspirations to kick on from a sensational season last term have taken something of a nosedive over the last month. Eddie Howe's side have only won two of their last nine games – once was against Fulham, when Raul Jimenez's kung-fu kick gave them a numerical advantage midway through the first half at St. James' Park last month, and the other was what became a relatively routine win in the Tyne-Wear derby at the Stadium of Light in the third round. The pressure could be creeping up quietly on Howe, whose side since tenth in the Premier League after a group stage exit from Europe, and Newcastle could become the first side to lose eight FA Cup ties in succession to fellow top-tier opposition in the competition's history.

The visitors will, unlike Fulham, be well rested having not played in a fortnight since Oscar Bobb settled a five-goal thriller in Manchester City's favour. Howe is battling a significant injury crisis – which will leave the Magpies without Callum Wilson, Joelinton, Harvey Barnes, Joe Willock, Nick Pope, Matt Targett and Elliot Anderson – whilst Sandro Tonali is suspended for historical gambling offences. Former Norwich City winger Jacob Murphy could make a return to the squad having resumed training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Silva might be tempted to shuffle his pack with games against Everton and Burnley following in short order after this Cup double header. It remains to be seen how the exertions of a gruelling game against Liverpool will have affected the squad, but there could be a number of plausible alterations. Kenny Tete should replace Timothy Castagne at right back, whilst this would seem a suitable opportunity to offer fit again Tim Ream a return to first-team action. Birthday boy Harrison Reed might add a bit of rattle into central midfield, whilst Harry Wilson could prove a real threat wide on the right after giving Liverpool an almighty scare in midweek.

Andreas Pereira, who struck the woodwork again during another frustrating evening on Wednesday, has already alluded to a desire within the squad to set up more special nights at the Cottage, telling the Fulham website earlier this week:

"We live for these kinds of games, and that's what we want to do more and more. That's why I came to this club, and that's what everyone is here to do, to keep Fulham pushing the limits every time. We know last year how bitter a feeling it was, so for sure we want to go far in that competition. We have to bounce back in the next game, we have to look forward to it."

MY FULHAM XI (4-2-3-1): Rodak; Tete, A. Robinson, Adarabioyo, Ream; Reed, Palhinha; Wilson, Willian, Pereira; Vinicius. Subs: Leno, Castagne, Diop, Francois, Cairney, Lukic, De Cordova-Reid, Muniz, Jiminez.

Why there are expected to be so many empty seats at Fulham vs Newcastle
Fulham and Newcastle United are set to go head-to-head in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup at Craven Cottage.

The all-Premier League affair however is set to be spectated by a severally lesser crowd in west London, with fans staging a protest over ticket prices.

It's estimated that currently less than 50% of tickets have been sold in the home end for Saturday's clash, due to Fulham fans boycotting the game over £40 ticket costs.

Most of the anger is beginning to be directed at owner Shahid Khan, who took over at Craven Cottage back in 2013.

The American billionaire has overseen Marco Silva's side being promoted back to the Premier League and substantial renovations around the ground.

But given the game is set to be televised on terrestrial television, supporters feel the price of admission is still far too high.

The campaign has been given the #AffordableFulham and empty seats are expected to be seen around the stadium across the 90 minutes.

Fulham Supporters' Trust issued a message to fans earlier this week urging supporters to continue in their bid to make a stance against Khan.

"If you are choosing to not attend today's game versus Newcastle over your concerns about #AffordableFulham, please take five minutes to email us at [email protected] with your reasons so we can put your arguments to the Club during our next meeting," the statement read.

Newcastle sold out their allocation in the capital as expected, with some 3800 away supporters expected to following the Magpies.

Eddie Howe's side beat local rivals Sunderland to reach this stage of the competition earlier this month, with goals from Alexander Isak and an own goal from Dan Ballard.

Newcastle beat the Cottagers 3-0 at St. James' Park shortly before the recent winter break in the Premier League and will be hoping a lesser atmosphere can help them book a spot in tomorrow draw for the last 16.

    FT: Palace 4-2 Fulham

A week on from the 1-1 draw with Leicester City, Crystal Palace Under-18s hosted a London derby as they welcomed Fulham to Copers Cope for the second time this season.

The last time these two sides met was in a winner-takes-all U18 Premier League Cup group stage game for qualification, where Palace emerged victorious in a nine-goal thriller.

There was a single change to the side, with Hindolo Mustapha coming in for Zach Marsh - who featured for the Under-21s in their 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday.

The visitors managed to take the lead early on with their first attempt of the game. Ma'Kel Bogel-Campbell found space out wide and squared a ball across the box, which Palace couldn't properly clear, into the path of Callum Osmand who finished from close range.

Though they were a goal down within the opening 10 minutes, the young Eagles' heads did not drop. Instead they picked themselves up and went in search of an equaliser which came just six minutes after Fulham took the lead.

Great link up play down the right hand side between Mustapha, Matteo Dashi and Seb Williams saw the latter play a glancing ball across the box. It was cleared out to Mustapha who fired a strong shot along the ground towards goal.

Marco Underwood in the Fulham goal saved it, but it broke out into the danger zone directly in front of him and Rio Cardines was on hand to claim his first goal of the season with a simple finish.

It was a tale of two 'keepers as the first-half went on. Underwood was called into action again as he denied Seb Williams' stinging effort from 25-yards out, whilst Eastwood came rushing out to deny Osmand a second.

Routine stops for both of the men in either goal carried on as the game edged towards the interval, however Palace managed to get their noses in front in first-half stoppage time.

Outstanding running from Mustapha saw him drive towards the byline and evade Fulham defenders tracking back to stop him. He glanced a ball across the face of goal and Dashi couldn't miss from close range.

Going into the break ahead reinvigorated the young Eagles as they came racing out the blocks in the second-half in search of a way to extend their lead.

An acrobatic effort from Jesse Derry was wayward early on in the second-half, while Asher Agbinone tested the 'keeper from a narrow angle after fending off two Fulham defenders.

Derry was at the heart of Palace's attacks in the second-half and managed to strike the crossbar, before finding the bottom corner with a well-taken effort on the hour-mark.

On the edge of the box, Derry took on two Fulham defenders on his left foot and then worked it onto his right to find half a yard to get a shot away. It beat Underwood and nestled in the bottom right corner of the goal.

Fulham pulled one back through Oliver Gofford five minutes later, as he headed in off the crossbar, following a well worked corner routine.

Palace's lead was again reduced to one, but they were still in control of the game and came close to restoring the two-goal cushion five minutes after Gofford's goal, but Derry's effort struck the base of the post.

With just under 10 minutes remaining, Agbinone settled things for the young Eagles as he added a fourth. George King went on a blistering run from right-back which saw him strike the post, before the ball broke to Agbinone.

Playing as a No. 9, he pulled off an accomplished finish as he shifted the ball onto his right inside the box and buried it into the bottom left corner.

After his goal the side saw out the rest of the game with relative ease, taking all three points from the London derby. Rob Quinn's side now leapfrog Fulham into 5th place in the U18 Premier League, level on points with Chelsea and two behind Arsenal.

Palace: Eastwood, Grante, Jemide, King, Cardines, S. Williams (Adams-Collman, 84), Gibbard, Mustapha (Lusale, 68), Dashi, Agbinone, Derry (Redhead, 87).

Subs not used: Hill (GK), Cowin.

Fulham: Underwood (GK), De-Jesus, Slade, Nsasi, Tabares, White, Olyott, Gofford, Osmand, Quashie (Ali-Wahid, 45), Bogle-Campbell.
