That's where you're wrong, a large contingent of Fulham fans hate the idea of the club doing well. Their support is entirely based on moaning and complaining. They seek out the cloud.

What a moronic statement.

Sure, being pessimistic is one thing, but claiming 'fans' don't want the club to do well is just stupid.

I would be happy if we could get through the window without any transfers but Tosin has all but gone and it looks as if Willian will follow. Replacing those two with equivalent quality could cost £60m that is probably more than we have in the transfer budget.
Unless we can find a couple of very good free transfers then we are going to have a weaker squad next season.

We will be fighting from the start to meet that 40 point target.

Nice to see you've started off the season on a positive, upbeat note.

My Ipswich friends are claiming McKenna is super keen on him but also feel he'd be a good fall back option........

I don't really have any thoughts on him these days to be honest.  It's possible that Marco could work his magic on him and we'll have a superstar on our hands, but equally he could just be broken after stints under José and Conte.

While he may not be the best LB or LW, we do know his ability to time his runs into the box are very good & he can score goals. On a free, subject to wages, no brainer for me.

On either a free or a minimal transfer fee I would love to see him back as I believe Marco and his team could work wonders with him. In addition every player needs to be loved and Sess could thrive on the fans' enthusiasm from coming home.

If we were back in Championship then there is a good argument but still very much unproven as a premier league player. Does not strengthen us as a premier league team personally speaking.

Fulham 442

Regarding Sess I think a lot of us are thinking with our hearts and not our heads.  Sadly I don't think he would add anything to our team and his long term injuries and layoffs are a worry.  I always loved seeing him play for us and of course will never forget his assist for Tom at Wembley but I would just rather say thanks for the memories and hope he can revive his career elsewhere.

Tabby

Think Sess would be a decent punt on a free transfer. He did well for us at championship level, was fairly anonymous in the PL (which put him among our top performers that season) and has then not really been able to get going since. Biggest worry in his injury record.

Also helps that he is homegrown for squad purposes. Worst case he is a wasted squad spot on fairly low wages, best case he can get back to his best. Compare this to Willian who had left his two previous clubs by mutual consent and was widely regarded as completely washed up.

Motspur Park

Ryan is roughly on £55k per week according to various websites so even with no transfer fee, the least he will be looking for is a signing on fee and probably around £40k. Still a heck of a lot of money for what is ultimately a risk.

On Sessegnon, I'd say no.

In the championship when we dominated the ball he was allowed to play an attacking role and it paid off but even there he was very average at defending.

I lost count of the times he would attempt a clearance or pass out from our final third and fluff it more often than not.

In the PL he would be a liability defensively.

Basically the new upgraded MLS.

A retirement home for ageing footballers wanting to make one last megabuck, except this time it creates them multi multi generational wealth.

Still I don't know anyone actively watching the football regularly there so I wonder how sustainable it is long term or if it will continue to grow in popularity. All just seems a bit souless from the outside.

Precisely this Jay, couldn't agree more. Wonder what the standard would be like compared to MLS, I'd guess slightly less good?
I cannot see how it'll grow in popularity however. Seems doomed to failure IMO. Probably part of some underhand bid to get a world cup soon.
