Fulham in transfer tussle to sign Cameron Puertas
Fulham are among the teams chasing Union Saint-Gilloise playmaker Cameron Puertas, with Marco Silva keen to add a player of his profile.

According to Foot Mercato, Fulham are showing an interest in Cameron Puertas from Union Saint-Gilloise. The 25-year-old Swiss-born playmaker has been in excellent form for the Belgian side in the previous season, with Marco Silva likely to keep a close eye on his situation in this window.

Fulham are chasing Cameron Puertas
Many clubs, including those in the Premier League, are constantly looking for value signings in the market. There is the broad idea of needing to spend huge sums on proven stars prevalent in the English league, although some of the teams will have eyes and ears in markets lesser travelled by those in the elite category.

Fulham have made some smart decisions on lesser-known players under Marco Silva, and this time around, they are trying to balance their act by targeting such stars as well as those who are known commodities. The club are in a healthy financial position following some decent sales last summer, while Joao Palhinha has already left for Bayern Munich, which may not be the last known departure in this window.

There are rumours that Andreas Pereira is considering his future at Craven Cottage, with Newcastle United interested in the Brazilian international. Silva is already considering the possibility of his playmaker departing and has set sights on Union Saint-Gilloise star Cameron Puertas.

The 25-year-old Swiss-born playmaker has had a fantastic season in Belgium, scoring 14 goals and providing 23 assists in all competitions last season. While those numbers may not be replicated in the Premier League, it is certainly a shot worth trying as far as Silva is concerned. Union Saint-Gilloise are demanding at least €15 million, a price that Fulham are highly capable of forking out.

Fulham face Borussia Monchengladbach threat
Clubs from other leagues are looking at value-adding stars like Puertas, with Borussia Monchengladbach one of the known front-runners for his signature. Their only problem is the price, which Union Saint-Gilloise might end up reducing should the 25-year-old Swiss-born playmaker opt to join the Bundesliga side.

Fulham might have to pay what is necessary to seek Puertas's signature and would need a compelling pitch to the player to convince him of a switch to London. Hence, as things stand, Monchengladbach is the biggest threat to the Cottagers and their quest to sign the Union Saint-Gilloise playmaker.

Andre Trindade set for Premier League move months after reported Liverpool bid
Former Liverpool target Andre Trindade is set to secure his long-awaited Premier League move this summer, with Fulham in advanced discussions over the Brazilian defensive midfielder.

The Fluminense ace, who won the 2023 Copa Libertadores, was strongly linked with a move to Anfield last summer and then again during January.

There were even reports during the winter transfer window that the Reds had launched a bid for the five-cap Brazil international, but a move to Merseyside never materialised.

Liverpool did sign four midfielders last summer though, with Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo all teaming up with the Reds.

Liverpool are not the only club to have expressed interest in the 22-year-old over the past year, and it seems that Andre has finally secured a switch to England's top tier.

FULHAM IN ADVANCED TALKS FOR ANDRE
Along with Liverpool, Marco Silva's Fulham were the other side most frequently and reliably linked with Andre.

However, now that defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha has left Craven Cottage to join Bayern Munich, Fulham have reignited their interest in the young Fluminense star.

According to Brazilian outlet Trivela, Fulham are deep in negotiations with Fluminense over a deal for Andre, one that would likely set them back around $32m.

Liverpool have generally opted against exploring the South American market in recent years, but it will be interesting to see whether or not the Reds have missed a trick by not bringing Andre to Anfield.

It will also be intriguing to watch Liverpool's transfer business unfold this summer, with many believing that the club still need a new defensive midfielder.

The Reds have been linked with several already during the transfer season, including Atalanta star Ederson, but reports have been tentative at best.

It's not expected to be a busy transfer window for Liverpool and they may prioritise moves for a new central defender and winger instead.

Former Sheffield Wednesday, Fulham and Everton midfielder secures top flight move
Former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Dennis Adeniran has joined Scottish Premiership outfit St Mirren.

The move marks a return to British shores for Adeniran, who has plied his trade in Portugal and Israel since leaving Wednesday in the summer of 2023. He first had a spell with Portimonense, later linking up with Israeli Premier League outfit Hapoel Petah Tikva.

He has now sealed a move back to more familiar territory, penning a one-year deal in Scotland with the option of a further year based on appearances.

Adeniran has been reunited with his former Owls teammate Jaden Brown, who spent the second half of last season on loan at St Mirren before the move was made permanent.

Brown provided Adeniran with a reference for the club, while the midfielder is also familiar with Saints forward Toyosi Olusanya. Speaking to St Mirren's official website, Adeniran said: "I'm over the moon to get the deal done. It's a good opportunity for me to come back to the UK and get started again.

"The attraction of European football and the way the gaffer wants to play, his aspirations for the season, it just fitted perfectly for what I need right now in my career.

"I spoke to Jaden [Brown]. He had nothing but good things to say about the club and I went to school with Toyosi [Olusanya] as well so I know them, but all the lads have been brilliant. I'm a hard-working player. I like to have the ball at my feet, I'm dynamic and I like to chip in with a goal or two."

Adeniran, a former England youth international, started his professional career at Fulham. He was prised from Craven Cottage by Everton, but failed to make a first-team breakthrough at Goodison Park. Wednesday secured his signature in 2021 and he made 51 appearances for the Owls before moving on.

Van Nistelrooy urging Man Utd to sign £70m playmaker he 'adores' as Ten Hag also sets sights on Fulham man
Manchester United are reportedly ready to launch a firm bid to sign Xavi Simons next week as part of an incredible triple Dutch transfer raid with new assistant manager Ruud van Nistelrooy the driving force behind the move and amid claims Erik ten Hag also has his eyes on a surprise raid on Fulham for a defensive star.

A busy summer of transfer activity at Old Trafford is about to get underway with a deal close to being finalised for Joshua Zirkzee. Manchester United will pay a combined package of around £45m for the Bologna striker, with £34m heading towards the Serie A side and the rest made up in commission to the Netherland striker's agent, Kia Joorabchian.

Zirkzee will likely, though, be the first of many new additions with sources informing TEAMtalk that minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe – granted full sporting control as a result of his £1.3bn investment into the club earlier this year – wanting at least four, and as many as six or seven, new signings this summer.

Ratcliffe's focus has always been on strengthening the spine of the United squad, with at least one new centre-half, a midfielder and a new striker on their summer shopping list. A new left-back and a right-sided winger are also seen as desirable, though the urgency for the latter could be over after Jadon Sancho returned to training with the Red Devils having allegedly buried the hatchet with Ten Hag.

Following on from the capture of Zirkzee, it emerged that United are in talks to sign a quartet of top stars with a South American midfielder saying 'yes' to a prospective move.

Man Utd transfers: Van Nistelrooy pushing for Xavi Simons signing
Among that four is Matthijs de Ligt, with the Bayern Munich prepared to accept a cut to his £244,000 a week package in Germany to reunite with Ten Hag.

Should the centre-half sign on the dotted line, he will strengthen the strong Dutch or Eredivisie connection United already have at the club, with Lisandro Martínez, Andre Onana, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount, Antony and potentiall now Zirkzee and De Ligt all ticking those boxes.

However, another name could soon be added to that list after it emerged on Friday that United were also looking into a potential deal for PSG playmaker Simons, whom has underlined his qualities with a series of impressive displays at Euro 2024.

While he could not steer the Netherlands to the final, he did serve notice of his qualities with a rocket of a finish against England in their semi-final, before the Three Lions turned it around.

Now it's claimed that United are very much in the mix for his signature having learned PSG are open to his potential sale this summer. Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be in the mix, though his potential £70m price may well cause a few of those to think twice.

Now it's emerged that PSG could actually sanction his exit on loan if it contained an obligation to buy next summer, which would prove attractive to United.

Their interest is being driven up by recently-appointed Red Devils assistant boss Van Nistelrooy, who knows Simons well from his time at PSV Eindhoven.

Simons thrived at PSV under then maanger Van Nistelrooy's guidance with the 48-year-old making clear his adulation of the player on several occasions.

That appreciation was also reciprocated with Simons tweeting upon his coach's exit at the club: "Thank you for making me a better player and helping me achieve one of my dreams of making it to the national team. Forever grateful. Good luck in the future, mister! "

Ten Hag targets Man Utd move for Fulham defender
Now a reunion between the pair could be on the cards at Old Trafford with Simons potentially being used in a change of system with the Dutch star operating alongside Bruno Fernandes in a more-attack minded system.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag is also ready to switch his focus towards strengthening at left-back with the Red Devils having been left desperately short there in the season just gone. With Luke Shaw limited to just 15 appearances in all competitions and Malacia missing the entire campaign through injury, Ten Hag was forced to use a mixture of Sofyan Amrabat, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot as makeshift left-backs.

The likes of Sergio Reguilon and, as TEAMtalk exclusively revealed, Ben Chilwell, have been mentioned as potential targets this summer.

However, a new name has been thrust into the spotlight with Ten Hag reportedly expressing his desire to club chiefs to target a move for Fulham's USA star Antonee Robinson.

The American proved one of the Premier League's more attack-minded left-backs last season, providing seven assists from 44 appearances for Marco Silva's side.

The 26-year-old was born in Milton Keynes but qualifies to play for United States through his father, who was granted American citizenship after being raised in White Plains, New York.

Contracted to Fulham until 2028, any deal would not be easy for United to strike with Fulham likely to want a sizeable fee for a star who was crowned their Player of the Year in the 2023/24 season.

Manchester United eyeing Fulham's high-flying full-back Antonee Robinson
A cursory glance at Manchester United team sheets from last season will show that Erik ten Hag had to use as many as six separate players in the left-back position.

Luke Shaw missed 36 games in all competitions while Tyrell Malacia ended up missing the whole season. With both his first-choice full-backs out, the manager had to turn to Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, both right-backs by trade, to cover that position during the business-end of the season.

Earlier in the campaign, centre-back Victor Lindelof and defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat were also forced to play in an unfamiliar role.

With Shaw expected to be given an extended break following the Euros and with no timeline provided by the club regarding Malacia's return, the Red Devils find themselves in a familiar position of having no specialist left-back at their disposal with the new season fast approaching.

LB needed at United
INEOS are expected to remedy this problem and numerous full-backs have been linked with a move to Old Trafford including Ben Chilwell of Chelsea, and even a shock return for Sergio Reguilon, who had spent the first six months of the previous campaign at United, has been mooted.

Givemesport have now added Fulham's shining star Antonee Robinson to the list but the Cottagers are hellbent on not losing any further players after selling key midfielder Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich recently.

The American registered six assists in the Premier League last season, among the top-five for full-backs, and was a constant presence in the Fulham team as the team from Craven Cottage finished a creditable 13th. He was named Fulham's Player of the Season.

Marco Silva does not want to lose the USA international but United and fierce rivals Chelsea are plotting to move for the former Wigan star whose current market value stands at €25 million.

Robinson interest
"Fulham are determined to hold onto the remainder of their standout performers instead of giving in to the temptation of cashing in ahead of the transfer window slamming shut, according to GMS sources, and Silva is particularly eager to keep Leno, Robinson and Pereira on board after they have attracted interest.

"Left-back Robinson has worked his way onto the radar of west London rivals Chelsea and Manchester United."

Fulham are expected to ask for a lot more considering Robinson's current deal is valid until 2028 with the defender signing a new contract only last year.

Whether the Red Devils have the financial might to pull off such a deal when they also need more than one centre-back and midfielder along with a backup striker remains to be seen.
