BBC was reporting Nelson to be fair, but agree so far there's not been a lot of chatter from the top tier sources about Fulham recently.

that's because FFC don't broadcast possible transfers to the media

Same every year. All it tells is Fulham keep everything completely behind closed doors. Look at Cuenca last year...completely out of nowhere. Sess was I believe as well. If this Pau Victor actually came off would again be completely out of nowhere with no rumblings until last minute. This GK as well. Will be tonnes going on behind the scenes but because Romano isn't reporting on it folk seem to think Fulham are twiddling their thumbs.  ::smile::

Usually Ornstein or Romano get wind though before we announce them.

Usually absolute last minute though just before they sign.

True, although Rutzler also tends to get in ahead of them too. Although don't know if that's the case any more as I know he stepped back from reporting on FFC.

It's usually Dharmesh Sheth that gets the scoop. My assumption is Ali Mac has some kind of relationship with him and feeds him the info when signings are completed.

Romano and Ornstein aren't typically involved unless there is another big club involved like with Arsenal(ESR) and Bayern(Palhinha).

Ornstein reported that we were interested in Romulo earlier this summer: https://twitter.com/David_Ornstein/status/1938307642348261516

Yeah I know bud but from the reliable one that's been about it!  ::smile:: Sure the odd bit leaks out but usually next to nothing until it nearly happens. ESR was public last year but may have been more the Arsenal end letting slip of course.

Quote from: Angus Telford on July 21, 2025, 01:37:55 PMEven excluding frees and loans, Brighton, Bournemouth, Everton, Wolves, West Ham, Brentford, Palace and Forest have signed 22 players between them. On average 3 each. We're the only ones who haven't signed anyone.

It's probably worth working out how many players they've lost (or are likely to lose) that were/are key to their first teams too. Otherwise a pointless exercise.
Major outgoings so far:

Brighton:
Pedro
Adingra
Barco

Bournemouth:
Kerkez
Huijsen

Everton:
Doucoure
Calvert-Lewin

Wolves:
Ait-Nouri
Cunha

West Ham:
Kudus

Brentford:
Norgaard
Flekken
Mbeumo (pending)
Wissa (pending)
(the manager as well)

Palace:
(no one of note)

Forest:
Elanga
Gibbs-White (pending...?)
Danilo
Omobamidele
Sosa
A couple more off the top of my head. Kepa for Bournemouth (was on loan but started 31 matches) and Ashley Young at Everton (very old yes, but he still played almost 1900 minutes last season).
Yeah agreed, those teams above also released a few other older first team players (especially Everton, Palace and West Ham).

West Ham have loads more that were involved in 1st team-Coufal, Antonio, Cresswell, Fabianski, Soler, Ings etc.
And Everton lost Alcaraz, Harrison, Lindstrom who were all heavily involved.

What I was trying to say initially is that some of these teams have made 3 or 4 signings and they're still behind where they were last season. We're not in that position.

Point taken but applying the analysis above then for us, if being consistent, you'd say

Willian
Nelson
Pendings depends on criteria (AP, Wilson)

Now that's the signing in the Eze or Cunha mould I was talking about. He was magnificient at Fiorentina.

Mmm...big call to put him in that bracket mate as no one is paying £60m for him but certainly looks exciting and someone at least potentially attainable for us. Only a third tier source but you never know...here's praying.  ::thumb::

Shame.

Probably Romulo now the only concrete link I'm enthusiastic about.

Even last year, which was ultimately a pretty flat window, the ESR and Sessegnon signings were leaked and being discussed publicly at this point.

I didn't mean about the cost but more about finding that kind of player. Cunha cost Wolves 40m, Eze cost between 15-20m when Palace bought him from QPR though.

Hey, thanks for transfer snipets you share here from other place, it certainly make this topic more interesting.
