Discord is hinting at Bakwa in and Adama out as well.....

Edit: Now incorrect.

I hope both the wingers we bring in are the type to run at defenders and into the opposition box. We know that even sneezing the wrong way can result in a foul being awarded these days so would be nice to see players asking the defenders to make a challenge, preferably resulting in a goal or penalty opportunity.

Have to say, I wasn't really impressed with Hwang when he played for Crvena Zvezda (or Red Star Belgrade as you call it). Not saying he's a bad player, I just don't think he's that good either. I'd prefer it to be someone else.

Do you know why he left Red Star last year? Was it that Feyenoord was impressed and wanted him or anything else?

He had a good season with Olympiacos in 23/24 and their fans rated him highly, but something happened (perhaps it was that they didn't qualify for the Champions League or something different, I can't remember) and he wanted to leave and that's how he ended up at Red Star. Leaving whether he's good enough aside, looking at his profile on Transfermarkt I find it strange that he always moves to a different club after 1-1.5 years.

Is Adama heading out with Sterling in? A definite upgrade if Sterling can get his mojo back.

Doesn't look like he was in the Feyenoord squad today, despite playing in their previous 2 games. Suggests a move somewhere could be on the cards.

They always sell their most sellable assets every year. Feyenoord was interested so they decided to sell him.

I'm also pretty sure he left Olympiacos on bad terms, but you'd have to check with Olympiacos fans.

He's an okay player, I just think we need much better.

Thanks for that.

Olympiacos' fans liked him, but he definitely left on bad terms. I don't remember if he refused to play, but he made it pretty clear that he wanted to go.

Interesting, good to get your thoughts. Which team do you support in Serbia?

Honestly, no one. I support all of them in European games, but I can't watch our football. It's a pretty poor standard, but I wouldn't mind that, what I don't like is the corruption and similar stuff surrounding it.

Interesting, spent a bit of time in Belgrade this past year, it's an amazing city but not had a chance to go to a game there yet.

Curious how Arnautovic will get on at Red Star.

I am so fed up with these ridiculous and meaningless; "Fulham are closing in on....", "Fulham nearing signing .....", "Fulham leading the race for....", "Fulham agree terms for....".
FFS we either sign someone or we don't and right now we haven't signed anyone!

Corruption? Bit like the PL then!

Jeroen

Surely we are not signing sterling as a back up (he assume he won't came to Fulham not to start) so who would make space?

BestOfBrede

From this thread I think we may end up with 200 wingers and nothing else!
Could work I suppose?

Why would you read a transfer rumour thread if transfer talk annoys you?
