Some rumour that this apparent nigh on 8m euros deal for godo is a creative way of Chelsea paying some of sterlings wages when they send him our way. Getting an asset in return.

We did see Shahid sat with blueco fella. Perhaps some creative accounting going on?

Only way I see it making any sense is if there is some kind of return deal here. It would be the first case of overtly 'creative accounting' we've done in this PSR era - and wouldn't shock me given it's BlueCo on the other side of the deal and we saw Eghbali with Shahid the other day.

Another Chelsea reject, no thanks.

He would be ideal for us with his energy. The box to box type we crave who gets a few goals as well.

Must be on quite a big wage though? Thought the wages needed to come down?

He's a decent player, but seems to me not 100% guaranteed that he's better than what we have.

Brentford are getting £55m for a player nowhere near worth that value? Fair play to them they do get huge figures when selling a player.

Ten Haag sacked by Leverkusen, after only 3 games (1 win, 1 draw, 1 defeat). Bizarre.

Would make sense then.. at least is shows signs of life and us figuring out how to do business in todays market. It's a workaround, but if other clubs are doing it then we have to try to keep ourselves in the lineup properly. If we get Sterling for Godo, then that'd be fantastic work.

He is not just a Chelsea reject, sorry. A box-to-box goalscoring midfielder with a relentless energy, would be amazing signing, imo.

I mean he definitely was a reject, otherwise he'd still be there. Big Chelsea fan as is all his family too.

I think he is a decent player, but why would Atletico sell? Do they want to sell, and if so, why? If they don't want to sell, surely as a 25 year old Englishman he'll cost a fortune? Don't think this adds up at all.

All seems very quiet at Fulham.
