Does this not demonstrate how bad of a leader TK is? What is SK doing, putting his son in these important roles?

Sterlings been touted as a last minute deal all window. Don't think its that.

If Kevin wants Sporting over us, then bugger him but I say this lightly, the recruitment team need sacking if we end up losing these players on the last day and end up with loanee tape over the cracks signings with Silva assessing his options.

And this is exactly the theme of the last few seasons with Khan trying to run a football club...

The main targets have gone and now it's a last minute scramble for any damaged goods left on the scrap heap.

Tony Khan needs to go. Things will be toxic if we crash today.

Quote from: bencher on September 01, 2025, 12:21:47 PMI think we need to ask ourselves why players are seemingly turning us down. Multiple players we've been linked with have preferred to join other clubs, and I'm not talking about Barca, City etc.

Most likely because Silva might not be here next year. Given what they are being offered, it can't be the property prices!   ::wink::

I completely agree

Grealish beginning the season well for everton gives sterling more credidance

But!!!
I really really don't want him 😬

I mean is it not fairly obvious that Kevin and Chuku are the main targets? We've been in talks with both for ages...

It does not. Marco himself said our main targets have become unavailable, if I remember correctly.

He said some not all, and besides the post I'm replying to is an oxymoron given we've been in talks with both for ages, Chuku was a target in Jan so it's not a last min scramble for "any damaged goods left on the scrap heap"

I think something needs to be done about the Motspur Park reception, seems people walk in and get put right off.

Maybe TK should put Billy the Badger on the front desk.

FFC007

I can see it happening....

We sign no one, and we have to go to Willian to make up the numbers...

Ten F a g s is available....  :slap:

I take it you find homophobia funny? It not a typo as there is a G in between the F and H plus you spaced it out...

Angus Telford

Keeping my powder dry but...

We need 4 signings today to call it a good window

I'd settle for 3.

The way the Kevin and Chukuweze deals are dragging on, you worry whether we'll even get 1-2 done.

Shambolic to be doing all this in the final hours, possibly for no cost saving at all.

Some good news I guess

Utter incompetence so far from the transfer team.

And so effing predictable.

Leaving things last minute is such a f**king dumb thing to do.

Yes, you may get better deals, but you are also up against everyone else looking to get better deals or chucking money at things to solve their problems once they realise how much money they have leftover or from sales to spend.

I don't see the genuine strategic advantage being worth it at all.

Yes, maybe one or two, but key players you want to bring in should just get done.

Spot on. If it's your main target don't leave it last minute

If we end up with Sterling instead of Kevin......  ::cry::

Players will also be happy to leave it to the last minute to get the best option for them, we're not Liverpool who can just go out and grab who they want, and even they have had to wait until today for Isak, these players don't care about the club, they're interested in themselves, if Sporting are in for Kevin, well if I were Keven I'd go to sporting, better climate, easier league, European football and similar remuneration.

We are trying to get better players in than the ones we have, unfortunately, that puts us within direct competition with clubs that have qualified for Europe.
