Anyone have an update on Arthur Atta?

I think we've walked away as Udinese don't want or need to sell. Also think it would take a big money offer inc EPL tax to get him. Hope I'm wrong as he was the one I really wanted out of the three we've been heavily linked with. Ball carrier with physical attributes and very skilful. Got a bit of Dembele about him

We could do with a one legged Moussa at times. A joy to watch when he was 'in the mood'.

I think he's really classy and would be a superb addition to our midfield.

Good player for sure, but for me the question would be over his ability to play in the PL given the physicality. He's of very small stature and I feel like we'd need a Palhinha-esque destroyer next to him because if we play teams like Newcastle or Villa we'd be overrun with him as a #8, maybe he'd suit a #10 role though but then we've got 3/4 players who can already play there

He's more of a deep lying playmaker than an 8 isn't he? Definitely looked a bit lightweight defensively when playing for England, though his passing was top notch.

Have you never seen this story before?! Happens with nearly every transfer we ever make. 😂😭We are just trying to squeeze every penny out of it. Highly unlikely we don't go back.

Except it appears that PSV wanted to get another striker in before they let him go, they haven't been able to do that.
Still I guess it must be Fulham's fault.

I mean....not getting a striker in summer then haggling over potentially £800k valuations is more considered an us problem though isn't it.

Yeah he'd be a TC successor in terms of playstyle and probably defensive output too. Loan with an option might be good since it gives us chance to take a look at him for 6 months, and allegedly he was one of Silva's top targets in summer '25, but for me we'd still be left needing a proper #8 so maybe it pushes that to the summer and gets us another CM in for now which might be handy in terms of trying to dictate games a bit better

TBH he might fail some sort of stats test or the club just aren't keen on him, I guess we'll see in the next 96 hours or so. If Silva really wants a CM and Gomes is on his list, then I can't see why we'd completely rule it out but then I guess we're not privy to the important conversations!
