But? Would you have settled or taken a point yesterday? Even when trailing let alone the equaliser did a point look like being a good result?
The way the game was panning out personally at the time I thought a point would be a good return. I don't need to blow smoke up Brighton's backside but they were very good for a team of a similar statue to us. The lad in midfield Baleba first time I had seen him live and how could you not be impressed. Looking like another Brighton player who will leave for big numbers?
Perhaps the way it ended does give us a coy smile but still it's a great feeling.

Brighton were the better team by someway. I would have taken a point towards the end. Strangely some fans in the Lion pre match were talking about taking a point before KO.

Winning while playing poorly in a way is a good sign. Silva needs to sort the central midfield out and work away from the uninspiring Berge/Lukic model, even without Lukic Berge had a shocker again.

Need a Palhina type and then something creative along side

Marco said yesterday that Berge was ill
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

We have had several recent (8 ish) games where the results  could have gone either way, but results does show we have some grit and an in form player here and there.

Need another midfielder in January though.

"How's that?"
"Don't you start"

Why play him? We had options

Possibly to underline a point to the hierarchy that we need to sign a starting midfielder.  The hierarchy meanwhile chose this week to announce the resigning of Cairney - our venerable midfielder, more than serviceable, but not someone to build a season around. Teams that press high don't suit Cairney, who needs space to dictate.  So Berge it was.

Match of the Day drew attention to the Silva contract situation and linked Wilson's contract to Silva's tenure.  So basically everyone everywhere is alerted to what's going on behind the scenes.

Berge being ill and still playing suggests he's a decent guy and committed team player, which is how I see him.  But the difference in authority and crisp progression between him and Baleba was stark, goodness knows why Hurzeler took him off.

Big few days ahead I sense. We absolutely need a midfield signing.  We did in the summer, it was painfully obvious.

Flying relatively high, and with a clear opportunity to improve further.  These are nice problems to have.

The only feasible option (singular, definitely not optionS) was Reid in whom Marco seems to have so little trust, Liverpool notwithstanding.

I'm dismissing any left field ideas such as playing a defender out of position at DM
