Berge - Has Anyone Noticed...

Whenever we score a goal, Berge always has his arm around the goalscorer towards the end of celebrations and it looks like he's having an in-depth talk with them. Obviously I have no idea what he's saying, but I've always wondered what it is he's talking about with the goalscorer.

Yesterday, he did it with Cairney after Wilson's goal, so not the goalscorer this time, but it's usually with the goalscorer. Does anyone have any idea what they think he could be saying?

I reckon 9 times out of 10 this season it's "I really like hugging you Harry"  ::thumb::

Is that what I'm meant to do to?

Or

Why did he pass it forward into that net thing?

"You know, I think you're  the best dont you, Harry/Tom/Raul (insert name here)"

I mentioned this a while back... he's saying - if you don't do better H4 will replace you

Probably OCD 🙄
Like many a superstitious footballer, now he's started his 'lucky' ritual he's gotta continue it 😉 :slap:

No idea what he's saying, but there's definitely a set of roles around a late goalscorer that all work to the same time-consuming objective.

After the goal is scored, there's a race to the corner flag.  First the pile-on crew arrive to create a tangle that will take a while to untangle.  Followed by a bit of crowd interaction.

Mr Goal-whisperer then turns up to have a word with the scorer, but he's really just the warm up man for the post goal star of the show, "the dawdler".  For us it was Raul yesterday and he gave a virtuoso performance.  A slow stroll back to the centre circle followed by body language that said "Deary me, I seem to have forgotten where I am required to stand", all done in the opponents half, eventually someone points to where he needs to be, cognitive decline recedes and the game can kick off.

It all took an age and I was surprised how little time the ref added. So it worked.

Did you see the penalty I took against Man United that's the last time I had a shot on goal.

Sgt Fulham

Reminding them to stay focused would be my guess

Saying, "I don't think Marco will be very happy with that, we are supposed to stick to our jobs!"
