Another very talented young prospect

Be surprised if we managed this one...and he'll want to be the starting RW as that's what he's frustrated with at Barca (being behind yamal) it seems.

+ we have brought in Bobb already so tough to be able to make promises in that regard

Think if we want to be competitive we have to have good starter worthy players for each position.. Bobb is good buy is just one option. To get the best out of him we need another equally as good or better winger on yhe right side to compete and push him and each other on.

Suprised he's available, always looked a real talent I've seen him play. Definately would like this move.

With quite a few attackers on the books already be interesting to see who'd be off on loan

Are we just collecting sons of famous footballers? There was Petr Cech's son, Mourinho's son and yesterday I learned Mark Hughe's son did some work for us.  :claping20hands:

And Schwarzers son, and the Beckham boy played for us

I forgot about Schwarzer's son but I didn't even know Beckham had a son play for us. Was it Brooklyn or Romeo?

Of course, but my point was from the players perspective not ours. Obviously we want high quality options all over the pitch, it's more that specifically this player has been making comments about playing time and wanting to start more are real Madrid.

So I would thinkhe'll be wanting to move somewhere with some assurances regarding starts, as will his club if it's a loan

Think he'd not be on the table for discussion with us if Arbeloa didn't think it possible based on quality and their relationship. Arbeloa gave him his Real debut, from what I understand, though perhaps I'm wrong.

Look, we're in unchartered territory.. bare minimum he gets exposure and playing time in the Premier League, one of the world's best, on loan, under a manager that knows him incredibly well - Madrid get the benefit of trusting Arbeloa and his skills and the game time in a top league, perhaps increasing his value for them...

It's never black and white these things..

Will be interesting to see what Arbeloa's pull actually is with the Real graduates.. given he won so much with them they should be fans and it should give him some pull to get them to join us.

Fulham isn't a huge step down from Real - we're a reputable club in a good city, competing in the last few seasons for european spots. The young players, if they're any good, could help us make and make a name for themselves in the process.

@jolslover

Hoping we can get Mastantuono done and that would be a huge coup for Fulham. Rewind to last summer and he was one of the hottest prospects in world football.. 45m for a 17 year old. I saw him play for Madrid live at the Bernabeu in a league match against Villareal and that game he outshone Mbappe and Guler. Seems he went off the boil a bit but for him to sign for Fulham would be huge..

I suspect we would lineup with Bobb in the 10, Kevin at LW and Mastantuono at RW.. Would be very exciting to watch.

For what it's worth - Bardghji would be quality too but of the two I think Mastantuono is more realistic given Arbeloas Madrid links and the fact he's worked with him before. I think that puts us ahead of other clubs in the chase, whereas Bardgji has a host of clubs interested that can offer European football

Still not many links to strikers, just a vague link to the Real forward.

Not necessarily a bad thing. Most clubs are on the look out for a goal scorer. If we're in the process of lining up a couple of strikers, it might help our cause if our P.L. rivals don't know who they are until they're more-or-less done.

Bronaldinho

Striker will likely be one of last positions to fill I imagine as someone mentioned above, many clubs looking for one.

Seems the traditional 9 is becoming a rarer breed, which may make it harder to see Raul leave.

Some good options out there from top of mind.

Tolu Arokodare - Available for loan, and was great before Wolves, deserves a chance.

Sasa Kalajzdic - Forgotten target man at wolves due to injury, but played in the hole at LASK last year and was so good. Linked up play and scored. If he can stay injury free he'd be class.

Evan Ferguson - Another forgotten man, but Brighton will still want good money.

Lorenzo Lucca - Didn't get a good run at Forest last year but a force at Udinese.

Pedro - Flamengo goal machine, been linked in the past.

Promise David - Him plus Sasa would be the two I'd take and would be relatively in our budget. Would give us 4 good options up top. Even better if AA goes 442 Diamond.

If a trad 9 is now a rare breed, why play a systewm that needs one, hopefully AA will ride us of the Silva system

Would prefer Gonzalo Garcia to all of these if Arbeloa can make it happen. I'd say imo definitely the top 4 aren't good enough to be first choice striker at a Prem club.

Yeh, I don't think it's black or white (although I hope he is come end of the window)

Just said I'd be surprised if we pulled it off as there will be teams with European football involved and noises are he wants to start

Think I've confused you as I typed Madrid and not Barcelona...was talking about Barca kid Bardghji. Although same applies with Franco but with an established relationship that makes it somewhat more plausible (although he's got offers from the likes of Champs league Como under fabregas too)

Either way obviously not suggesting its impossible and for sure AA having an existing relationship with real player and club + being a prem team counts in our favour. Just depends what the options are and in case of Rooney what assurances we can provide with starting as that's what the player is frustrated about at Barcelona.

Certainly have long expected to bring in some of the youth guys given AAs tight relationship with them...Franco actually isn't one of those, he joined not long ago from Argentina for a significant transfer layout, but did play under him for end of last season and reportedly has a good relationship with AA. Fingers crossed

Agreed Garcia over those options imo.

Watch a fair bit of serie A via Roma. Hell no on Lucca super average. And Ferguson can't stay healthy and hasn't loved up to a brief flash early in career.

Most of those are target men, if Arbeloa uses a high press as has been mentioned you'd assume he'd want a more mobile striker.

Yeah definitely - I think when looking at no9s Arbeloa has played in the past he prioritises the below criteria:

Mobile rather than static
Works hard in the press
Runs channels
Attacks space behind the defence
Links play but can also threaten in transition
Athletic enough to lead the line on his own

So I don't think he would want a target man or a striker that isn't highly mobile.
