Yeh if we sign Pitarch -I'd say we probably sell Lukic.

Then CB and RW for sure but I'd also want a 6 in an ideal world

And being greedy then Castagne out and a younger RB prospect in but no rush there.

Not unless we sign 2 CBs so think it's unlikely at this stage given Nwaiwu for now is off the table unless they come grovelling back which seems unlikely. Wonder if he'll end up at palace or if TS will just keep him and bump his wage up to keep him happy.

Maybe so, but to bahay's point, that would still mean not in training, getting fit or integrating with the team

If they passed the medicals yesterday then they would have done training this morning which was the first session since they returned from Portugal. The photo shoot would have been after training and after meeting the squad. You may find it hard to believe but people can do more than one thing in a day. Use a little bit of logic instead of being incredibly dense.

Thanks for your politeness! The post I was addressing referred to the "Here we go" tweet 4-5 days ago. I mean, if they got half a session in today, great, kinda, but it doesn't really mitigate the core issue which is that passage of time and more broadly that this has taken until 3 August.

I was certainly getting frustrated, but with my logical hat on I have to admit that none of us know what is going on behind the scenes and why these things take as long as they sometimes do. I'm certainly not going to jump to lay blame with TK or the club in general because neither I nor anyone else has a clue what went on.

King, Bobb, Kevin, JKA, Garcia, Palacios, LDF, Pitarch, Sess, Muniz - makes it all start to look pretty tantalising. If someone, namely Alvaro as things stand, can get them all playing well and singing off the same hymn sheet, we could be in for quite an exciting next chapter at Fulham.. though that is a big IF.

I'm sorry to say Sess is no longer "young". He's a couple of years away from his peak years.

Sess at 26 is in the next group that really need to show what they are made of this season, alongside Bassey & ESR (and probably Cuenca).

As an aside, I'd put Castagne in a similar bracket to Diop. I like him as a player more than most on here but, at 30 and with a year left on his deal, he deserves to be starting somewhere and we should take the chance to find a younger back up for Tete. Should be an appealing role to recruit for as well, given how often Tete is injured!

A lot of people on here and on X bemoaning the fact that Alvaro Arbeloa was to be appointed our manager to succeed Marco Silva, and today I've seen those same people celebrating the arrival of our Galacticos from Real Madrid,
Make no mistake, without Arbeloa, Garcia and Palacios would be nowhere near Craven Cottage tonight,
It might take half a dozen games for our season to get fully underway but I honestly believe that this is the start of a great era at Fulham and I for one can't wait.

To add to these we also have Ali Wahid, Ridgeon, Amissah , and they're hot on Zepa plus the forgotten man ALB. So suddenly tons of potential for major upside on multiple players in the coming years. Only a couple have to come good to keep funding ticking over nicely

One thing that I'm hoping is with the Real & Spanish connection is that some of our U21 instead of being loaned out to 1st & 2nd Div League clubs they are loaned out to Spanish clubs who seem to have a better record at blooding younger talent early.

Shows we could certainly do with a 6 like Charles , As the midfield is a bit lightweight but so much potential talent. Plenty to be enthusiastic about for our future as these guys mature 👌

If we sell Lukic then we absolutely need two central midfielders. Central midfield was a big problem for us last season at least in my opinion anyway. I see that Ipswich are trying to sign Florentino, so I doubt they bring in both him and Lukic.

I would like to see Jordan James come in.

After that a right sided forward / right winger. And lastly a centre back - in that order. I say centre back last because Diop was for the most part 4th choice and Luc de Fougerolles had a good World Cup and can take that role - ideally yes, I wouldn't want an upgrade and someone who can start ahead of our current defenders. Lots to do in the last few weeks of this window.

Why the obsession with buying a CB ?

We have one who reportedly wanted out - Cuenca - because he was 4th choice and mostly bench warming.
Another who managed to play in the World Cup - De Fougerolles - but had hardly had a kick with us.

How many Dan Burns can we afford to have - cost £350,000 from Darlington - hardly played for us and let go to Wigan at the end of his contract
Then to Brighton - 150 plus games for Newcastle - played for England in the World Cup.

Luke Harris looks to be on the same trajectory, unless he actually gets to play for us before next summer!
