I wholeheartedly agree. They may be a step slowly than they were. However remember when Lawrie Sanchez was in charge. Wholesale changes leading to a lot of lost games. Although Roy went on to use a lot of those players, successfully.
TC, Harrison and others know the prem, the clubs and players. A high press if done well tires the opposition. So wise heads on the bench may pay dividends.

Agreed.  Perhaps Palacios or Pitarch will be the successor to Cairney? I suspect Lukic may also be on his way out - almost certain if we do get in another defensive midfielder like Shea Charles.

No Twig is suggesting that we let him leave for nothing to go to another club in terms of a permanent transfer for a fee of £0, which would make it easier for any prospective team to purchase him (and likely widen the list of suitors) given his likely wage demands as they'd only have to consider his contract rather than paying us a fee on top

Okay, that could be one way. Or we could loan him out for the rest of the season and the loan club pays 100% of the salary. As long as it's not just ending the contract early and paying him what he's owed.

Rumours seem to be confirming that Nwaiwu has been given a wage boost and won't be leaving. Sounds a bit like when Joao didn't get his move and we sweetened him up so he didn't have a paddy. Cresswell also confirmed at Rennes

Yeah, I think that is likely the case.

Pitarch's name is circulating quite a lot, and many people reckon he's one of the top talents from Madrid - so I would expect he'd want to play regularly.

I'll miss Lukic at times, but he's a jack of all trades and master of none - alongside Berge they kinda get a bit limited.

Yeh I think we're definately lacking a more traditional 6 enforcer, Berge isn't that really, and to be honest, neither is Shea Charles who we're linked with. He seems more a progressive ball carrier and player from deep, than a big tackler enforcer type which I think we are missing a bit of. He's physical and positionally astute rather than being a big disrupter...But we already have Berge who's similar in that regard. Wouldn't mind someone with real ability to shield the back 4 doggedly.

Roma have 50m EUR to spend on a winger, nothing more - they hit 50m for Summerville then stepped down.

Kevin to us, right now, worth best part of 80-100m given contract length and age. We'll keep him, and I'd expect him to really kick on next season with the higher tempo system AA wants.

He's worth that if he turns out to be a superstar, but that's always an unlikely outcome. He's worth a lot less than €50m if he turns out to be a squad player. Personally, I would take the money and run. Lots of people here wanted a minimum of £50m for Muniz and look how that's turning out.
