Shame think he would've been just what we needed. Stromg, good in the air, fast, knows the league, not too old but also experienced. Also think he wouldnt have been too expensive since tottenham wanted to get rid of him anyway. Wages might have been an issue

All being done with just over 24 hours of the window left...

Madness.

Wouldn't be shocked to see Harrison Reed leave tomorrow if the Larsson moves goes through.

You would think that though "AustrianGeezer" ;)

Desperate to see another austrian player play for fulham. If all else fails we can still get alaba on a one year contract, though these days he's better suited as a coach rather than a player

I think Larsson would be a great signing for Fulham. Deep lying playmaker, big engine, good vision, good long and short passer of the ball. He's quite tall too, 6'2.

I'm more concerned about our defence though

Twig

So now we're not only short for a RCB (desperate), midfield (almost desperate), and RW (slightly desperate), we're also down to the bare bones for strikers. Add in a keeper on the slide and you couldn't make this up.

But don't worry it'll be all right on the night.

Sounds like Berge. Maybe more of a playmaker? Although Sander had a beautiful pass to release Garcia yesterday. Also played some nice stuff during the World Cup.

I believe Harrison is being lined up for a coaching role.

What makes you believe that? Now I've certainly seen folks say that they think he might make a great coach some day but he's still a player with at least a few years left in his legs (but only one on his contract) and I'd imagine if we get a bit more cover in that position the club would love to get his not insignificant salary off the books (and maybe even a small transfer fee).

Quote from: Coastwalker on August 31, 2026, 07:55:26 PMWhy don't we look at the lower divisions here, there might be some good talent there waiting to be picked up,at bargain prices as well.
:slap:
Think of the meltdown on this board!

According to some we should splash as much as the selling teams ask for!

We get a coulpe of youngsters in and they aren't good enough for the prem, apparently, and yet you say go down to the lower leagues?

By the way, I'm not against it personally

Don't worry, our top priority is seemingly a right back though. A position we were not very urgently in need of replacing this season. The only reason we're even replacing one of them is that they're not very fast.

Ratiu, according to Fabrizio Romano, is disappointed as Rayos president has not responded to our buy out clause of €25m.
He's not playing against Barcelona tonight.

This isn't strictly true, there's a bit of nuance. His RC is €25m but that has to be paid in full and up front to be triggered, we've offered the value of his RC as as transfer fee in split payments. We could sign him at any point by triggering said payment of €25m but it looks like to control cashflow we'd rather pay it in installments, which isn't unreasonable since most players in Spain never get sold from their release clause being triggered as it's a mandatory requirement to have one

Angus Telford

The only way we get Larsson ahead of Palace is if we offer a bumper salary which is basically how we ended up with the economic liability Anderson.

Similarly selling Tete age 30 for £5-10m at best and paying €25m for Ratiu age 28 sounds like pretty poor business.

Frankfurt want to sell him, so there's talk of loan with option/obligation which wouldn't be the end of the world.

Tete's fee would be £9.5m for which if we buy Ratiu for circa £20m means he's almost paid half the fee of, and he's pure profit for SCR purposes too. Ratiu is also on peanuts (comparatively speaking) at Rayo so he wouldn't command a huge salary so not such a massive financial dent
