Fulham are working on Deadline Day deals for midfielders Manuel Angel and Hugo Larsson.
Sky Sports News understands they are close to an agreement with Real Madrid to sign 22-year-old midfielder Angel.
He would be the third Real Madrid youth graduate to be signed by Alvaro Arbeloa if the deal goes through.
Fulham have also agreed a deal in principle for Eintracht Frankfurt's Larsson.
According to Sky Germany, he has been given permission to undergo a medical.

Do we think we get both through, one to step in and one as a project, or is one preferred over the other?

I think Larsson looks like a potentially good signing, Angel a project. I like the idea of a middle pairing of Charles and Larsson. Interesting that Angel and Larsson are the same age, yet one's played considerable more first team minutes.

Apparetly Larsson has 'muscular problems'? with an unknown return date..Potentially why we're supposedly getting him for a cheap price (according to fans online) at 24m. Could that scupper a deal if he has to pass a medical? or is it an 'injury' so he can stay fit for a transfer?

Hope we get both done, only getting Angel in would be severely dissapointing.

Angel would be what, our 3rd choice from the Real youth options, after Pitarch and Cestero? Hoping he can kick on here.

Yeh if we get 2 in at CM then Iwobi at least does return to wide positions finally.

And to be fair, he's been one of our most productive players in those positions over the last couple years. Even if he seriously lacks pace and I question his pressing ability . We could do with his dinks over the top to our players running in behind so perhaps that at least becomes another more designated wing option without spending, if other decent options don't appear. Now Nwaneri is off and Soule sounding unlikely on the surface not sure what good options are out there that interest us

As our wide players play quite narrow and the real width comes from flying full backs, I don't think a non-flying inside forward is such a problem. There's plenty you can do with good timing, football intelligence and an eye for a pass, and Iwobi has shown he has those things. I would expect him to get more game time than Kevin who I don't think quite fits the mould of Arbeloa's style and has flattered to deceive overall.

I think both as they're both proper box to box #8's and Mami could be a long term TC replacement too. It also means that we move Iwobi back to the wing and employ actual CM's at CM rather than letting Iwobi larp as one

If we sign Ratiu from Rayo I think he would supply the pace. AA seems to like wingers who play as inside forwards and have technical ability over raw pace, so having a lightning fast RB and LB will provide that overlap pace and width he's after

Have to admit, I would be up for Tomori -  bit more pace and experience. Played most of last season as AC Milan's preferred cb as they finished 3rd? They only lost 3 of their first 29 games, of which he was largely an everpresent. Would be a step up in CB for us and give the leadership we need. Doubt it will happen, but if we got him, Ratiu and Larsson in for starting spots and in a perfect world a RW too, then I'd be happy.

No thanks, a CB for a team that was fighting relegation last season and is doing so again (though early on) isn't where we should be focusing our efforts. I appreciate, that may not all be down to him in fairness, but still. Matsima was playing for a team that came 9th, and Tomori in a team that came third. I think we're playing the field to see which one comes in with a preference for first choice, and I don't think Affengruber is one of them.

I usually get excited on the last day of the transfer window, as we often do some big deals on the last day. However, this year I am really uneasy. We seem to suddenly be linked with a large number of people that previously we had no links to and it feels really desperate. I cannot wait for today to be complete and we finally can analyse our squad in person.

Who can tell me why it matters if a transfer payment is made in installments or one lump sum. Regarding SCR the transfer fee is amortised over the length of the contract.
