On the verge of making Europe, and then downhill...Ive got a gut feeling it is.

This guy never learns. We've had plenty of matches where we start off well, score one goal and then completely lose the plot and lose the game. How many times does this have to happen for Marco to learn to make subs earlier?

Its not that I could and others couldn't.
Its that I did and others didn't.

It is, and again the Silva apologists will defend this

Fulham 1879

Objectively, our position somewhat flattered us. After today's loss, we are five points behind Liverpool but just five points above Leeds, who are in a relegation fight.

Or alternatively maybe that second half was on the players. They were dominant in the first half and took their foot of the peddle in the second. If they'd started the second like we finished the first we'd have been fine. Everton were very ordinary.

Yeah, I don't know what to think about today (other than feeling disappointment). I guess my question is what were the obvious subs Marco should have made around the 60 minute mark to change things up???

See I interpreted that as the players being instructed to kill time. Given how aggressive our guys were up until the first half whistle, it seems unlikely they would all just switch off immediately upon starting the second.

Eta: And the few times we tried to have flowing play, it was killed because players seemed to be confused on whether they should be pushing forward or falling back and regrouping. Which to me points to a change in instruction.

Sgt Fulham

Who, watching us week in week out believes that we're good enough or consistent enough for Europe? I certainly do not. I think we're brilliant at times, but in patches, which is not enough.

13 games to go.

Right in the mix

Very disappointing back to back games. Really the second half today was bad whilst first half we should have been well away
Rough one up against city next

Then we're into some key fixtures with most of our squad healthy as things stand

Keep the faith

We're certainly good enough, we have a very good 14 or 15 core players who would be very comfortable in the Europa League, we unfortunately, have a manager who is far too pragmatic for the players we have.

I don't actually care that much about results, just being entertained, feel like the last 18 months, with the very odd exception, we've been too slow, ponderous and safe.

Super Mick

We've got to beat 115 outstanding charges FC next week and we're back on track.  Unfortunately, the way our defence is playing I see yet another thumping!

It's not just last season or even this.

Historically we have more often than not been a soft touch & failed to deliver / grasp opportunities within our reach.

We are just nice to play against. Second half we were nowhere good enough & regrettably because I've been coming too long & a glass half empty guy, I called the result at half time.

Believe me, I truly wish I'd been wrong.

Let's face it, playing the oil barons on Wednesday is a free hit....

If only we had all that oil money to spend without any FFP restrictions....and get away with it.

Tbf I actually think last season we were miles better - put in some brilliant displays and really battered a few sides.

This year I'm not sure we've played well for an entire game. Even in the wins against Forest, West Ham, Brighton & Burnley we weren't great.

Been a wierd season - in the fight for Europe without really playing well.

There were some great performances this season too. Brentford is the first one that comes to mind. The goal we conceded was an absolute gift from King and we easily scored 3 goals and probably could and should have scored more.

On the plus side we have Forest, Burnley and Spam to play in successive games in March to try and get back on track. Three losses in four isn't what was on the menu.

On paper, we should get something from all three of those teams, but I have a bad feeling about these games... these are the games we could royally screw up..

If we lose to Parkerball then all hope of Europe is gone.

Europe is gone, lose to City and it is 4 defeats in 5, shocking

You are the most reactionary and absolutest person I think I've ever encountered 😅

After man city we have a run of games wed all be looking towards to grab points ,we've managed to beat Chelsea and Liverpool this year, ya never know what will happen

Had a rough second half today after we should have won it in the first....but there are 45 points to play for, 42 after city

Qualifying for Europe is rarely gonna be wrapped up by mid February

It'll be a fight to the end, is it a tough run after a very good one yes, is it unlikely for a club like Fulham to make Europe in a tough league , yes. Is it over? Obviously not, till it is

Calm down dear

Its not reactionary, I have been  quite consistent in my view that Silva is out of his depth in terms of pushing anything beyond mid table
