Desperately hope Tosin doesn't start. We're screwed if he does.

Good to see Palhinha and Wilian in the team, and Maguire in for United...we have a decent chance now.

Relieved to see Leno starting. Not gonna lie, I don't like it that Marco insists to start BDR over Solomon, I just think Manor adds so much more to our attacking game, when Bobby is more predictable. This decision makes me stressed a bit. Nevertheless I hope we'll match the intensity from the very first minute till the end, and since this game can potentially go to an overtime, at least we now have very good impactful options off the bench. I only ask to always be in the game till the last minute. I don't want to see another game when we look outmatched. COYW

The reason why BDR starts is because the first 20 minutes will be imperative. We have to take the sting out of the game.
BDR will tuck in and pick up his marker more efficiently than Solomon as BDRs defensive qualities will be crucial.
We need to keep our shape, balance and depth.
Time for Solomon will be later when his fresh legs will be welcome.

Methinks ManU will try to score very early and put FFC on its' heals.  Chasing very difficult for FFC especially on the road.  FFC not a high scoring club.  Need to stay level and withstand the first 15 minutes or so of the game.  COYW

Good first half. A couple of bad turnovers by Tete and Diop have gifted United a few chances, but FFC the better team overall.

Good first half. Reed and Ream were exceptional. Mitro looks lively and holds the ball well as his old self.
Something in our offensive game plan is lacking, we look too predictable and one dimensional. The next 15 minutes of the second half are going to be a key. Manure will push hard, we MUST stay compact and not conceding, then we can bring on Solomon to hopefully finish the job. He's what we're missing offensively.

Very positive first half overall.

ESPN on field commentator seems more fair and impartial then the main two in the booth.  At least he thinks the United have been playing flat and that Reid and Palhinha controlled the field better then United did.

Ridiculous, stone wall booking.

Ref has been decent so far but he should have been consistent with Andreas' yellow and booked Martinez.

Willian stopped a goal with his hand. Red and penalty after VAR. Mitro then made contact with the ref arguing which is another clear red. Silva also got a red while the ref was at the monitor presumably for something he said but not totally clear on that one.

In the VAR era he should've been extra careful not using his arm, especially when he could clearly get to the ball with upping his foot a little bit higher.

Will Mitro get a longer ban - for contact with the ref
Almost certainly 5+ 😬

When was the last time 3 members of a team got a red for one incident (?)... Can't remember it happening in the English game, kind of thing you would see after a mass brawl or something.

Not in England league, last ive seen waa the 5 red cards between psg and Marseille a couple of years back, i think there was a flashpoint near the end of the game

Didn't Sheff Utd get a few in a game which may well have had to abandoned because Colin had his players go down with fictitious injuries having used his subs.

Surprised so many are defending what happened. The reaction of Marco and Mitro was disgraceful. Mitro will probably get a 10 game ban. It was a clear red card and penalty from Willian. Club will be heavily fined, and Marco will likely get a touchline ban, especially as he was already booked 4 times this season.

We can pencil in 11th place now

Absolutely indefensible.

Gutted. It was there for us until that point.  We were the better team.

There's no way Marco or Mitro should get more than three games. Bruno literally pushed the ref from behind with both arms against Liverpool and didn't even get a yellow. Mitro and Marco were being idiots though. Absolutely unnecessary.

I hope Mitro and Silva get absolutely slaughtered by the players that had to finish that game. So unprofessional and indisciplined.

If you watched the game you should know what a ridiculous comment that is. Willian, Silva and Mitro got red cards which were fully justified.

Devising ways to lose is the Fulhamish speciality. They excelled in that today.

Mitro touched his arm to get the refs attention, not to hurt him. It's stupid and he'll serve his three games but talk of a Di Canio length ban is a bit much.

Wtf,  Mitro has just had a brain explosion :031:

I thought there was some rule where you couldnt get a pen and a red card, like its  a double punishment sort of thing?
I'm shocked, he controlled himself quite well since coming to Fulham, he knew when to stop and never got a red.

As for Willian, I think deliberate handball is an exception to that rule, but not 100% sure.

That's the bit I'm struggling with.

You have to judge that's it's a deliberate handball, but his hands can't be in many other positions surely?

It's handball, for sure. I just think handing out a red was not appropriate in the situation

He may or may not be; I suspect not. But if he was, it's even more stupid to push him.

Love Mitro, and his aggression is part of what makes him so good - he'd score fewer goals if he didn't get riled up - but the red mist descended and it cost us there.

We don't know what he said to Mitro. We don't know what Marco said.

And I was being sarcastic as the refs from Manchester.  Either way Its wrong a ref from Manchester should officiate this match!

A calm Mitro is hard to understand so a angry one I expect is impossible

Absolutely sickening. It's one thing being beaten by a team who is better on the day, but losing like that is infuriating.
