I fear there has been a small misunderstanding, you have to wait for a secret signal from Sir Craven of Cottage, who will also be in attendance as a special guest of nose, then everyone led not by a banner waving protester, but by David Banner from the incredible hulk series who use to say just before he turned into the hulk after saying, "don't make me angry, you won't like me when ime angry", as I say after the signal everyone, and that means every single supporter must get up and walk out of the ground, and make their way to the Golden Lion to stage another protest about how to help prevent another plague of locusts by using disinfectant when cleaning the premises.

All clear now thanks

Perhaps we should get AK back for the weekend.
He could threaten the club officials if they prevent the banners being taken in the ground.

Apparently on 55 mins Abba tribute band Baba will parachute on to the pitch and sing "Money.Money.Money.💷💷💷💷

It is my understanding that the organizers of the #StopTheGreed protest/campaign would like everyone to make noise in the 55th minute.  The 55 to represent the lowest match day ticket price for the City game.

In response to the protest the organizing group have received communication from the club that all banners are now banned.  This despite that the banner met the requirements for banners that are allowed inside the stadium.  The club stated that the banner is not a positive thing and does not support the team/club.

Furthermore, the club knows who the organizers are, and I believe will punish anyone showing such a banner.  What that punishment would be is anyone's guess, but I could see a permanent ban.  For me that would be a very harsh punishment for the organizers.  Especially since all they are trying to do is get the club to work with them on getting ticket prices back to fair and reasonable price.  By doing that it would allow true fans that grew up supporting the whites to be able to still afford the match day experience.
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

Actually I agree with the club banning banners inside the ground. Protest outside the ground with banners, noise inside the ground is fine, but from their perspective I can see their view.

To be fair, displaying 'Stop The Greed' banners doesn't sound much like 'working with the club.'

Not sure on this one- my early bird ticket for premier league football was very reasonably priced to be  fair.Someone else to pay syndrome.

Penfold

I have sympathy for this protest. Yes, early bird season tickets were well priced (I won't say good value, it's been to bad to say that), however not everyone can commit to a season ticket can they? Therefore, I think the match day prices are OTT.

If action was taken I think that would be regrettable and an expensive error as it may well drive other fans away.

I enjoyed this comment on TIFF in relation to smuggling a banner in on Saturday:

'When i went to Hamburg i managed to stick a gas cannister for an air horn in the front of my trousers (plenty of room) and the horn round the back side. If you really want to get it in just roll it up and stick it down your trouser leg (even poking up into your shirt too if it's a whopper). Or you can borrow my a*se if you like. It's like Mary Poppins magic bag in there.'

:wine:

Deadcowboys

Right arrow, wrong target.

I shall wait for the prices to be published then either renew my S/T or vote with my feet. Don't plan to have a hissy fit before then. In any event by 55th minute I may have thrown myself in the river.

It would be ironic if we scored in the 55th minute. 🙃

The odd thing is that whilst single matchday tickets are stupidly expensive, our early bird season tickets in the JH stand (as over 65s) was very fair value. I don't really get the club's thinking but am grateful that we benefitted from the ST pricing structure.
the S/Ts will increase I believe more so the club invited the FST to get involved some of the very click on this board who disagree with my piont of view as they prefer the Watford model rather than the common model that I believe the Khan's want to change as they get more revenue out of.

Protests don't make a blind bit of difference unless they are followed by other actions. Look at last weeks Brexit march with 1million people and still nobody listen

that's a valid piont.I am not buying another S/T whilst the Khan's at the club after a lifetime.

KeenCottager

I've just been on the club website to have a look at tickets for the Newcastle game.

£60+ Booking Fee for the Putney End.

Absolutely mental.

Mince n Tatties

When local radio tried to get a interview with someone at the club doors were slammed, but the clubs tealady Hilda Greyholt-Summers,said she would be there protesting against the greed.
She stated "On the budget they give me I can't make ends meet, do the owners know the price of Hard water Yorkshire Teabags and Digestives,no they haven't got a clue, they seem to think they grow in Bishops Park. Anyway I can't say too much as they might dismiss me,and my husband Albert isn't too well at the moment"... Coyw.

I counted them as they slopped  past traitors gate heads concealed in their hoodies, and it was nearer half a million, and most of them were silly students, vagrants, unemployed fully fit individuals on benefits with nothing better to do, and dudes on the euro gravy train, not forgetting the snowflake brigade of Richard Branson, fresh from his tax haven and private island in the Caribbean, and the great unwashed pillar of the community Bob Geldof.

Just so am I understanding it correctly, on 55 minutes we will start chanting "stop the greed" and hold up the leaflets that are going to be handed out along with any banners/signs that make their way into the stadium?

Fully behind the protest just would like to know exactly what we're doing.  049:gif
Stand up if you still believe!
