A quote from Paul Heckingbottom in his post-match interview today.

I kid you not. Is he delusional or blind to the GD stats? What a bizarre comment to make 🤷🏻‍♂️

Does our goals for column not tell the real truth

But they do have the best striker in the league according to delusional f@ck off Scotty Parker.
Growing old is mandatory
Growing up is optional

Forever Fulham

We have the best striker.  Period.  Stats don't lie.

The statistics don't lie, Fulham are 30 goals better than the next best which is too large for an expert opinion to be more creditable than the statistics.

Drop the Bournemouth stuff it's boring.
I was directly quoting Sheffield Utd's Manager on a topic that directly relates to Fulham since we are clearly the most prolific attacking team in the division. Not my definition of boring!

The object of championship football is to play every team at home and away. Whoever finishes with most points gets promoted along with the team who finishes second. The next four teams go into a play off where the team that wins also gets promoted. The bottom three teams get relegated and the rest carry on next year. And that's it. Nothing else matters.

When we are winning everyone forgets to prioritize what is most important and that is "not going backward" because once a team is out of the Premier League TV money they only have owners funding controlled by FFP left.

Listening to Bournemouth fans you would think they want to ditch Parkerball and play seven games of beautiful football before falling off the financial cliff of ending parachute payments.

In my opinion, if Bournemouth doesn't get automatic promotion now they will never be in the premier league for another 12 years or more. Derby County problems are awaiting every championship club, most clubs are saved by their owner each year.

If you don't like it, just ignore it. Some of us (not all obviously) find it relevant and interesting

Possibly this is from his own personal experience, as I recall we did not cover ourselves in glory the last time we played his lot. As with any quote, taking it out of context can make it look strange.
Any fool can criticise, condemn and complain, and most fools do.

Heckingbottom is entitled to his opinion after a game where neither side looked like scoring even when chances (mainly for the home side) presented themselves.  As an attacking game it was always a case of who would miss the best chances, and that was the home team.  Hence the home coach trying to deflect criticism ...

It was another poorly refereed Championship game high on mistakes and low on quality.  I think there was possibly a couple on shots on target throughout.  It remains to be seen what the final table looks like which is the one place you'll be able to put the numbers together and imagine  what each team must have been like.  As a footnote I wouldn't change any of what we have at CC for either of these teams but the B&B keeper did do a fair impersonation of being a good one.

Or, he's trying to big up his own defence suggesting they kept a clean sheet against the best attacking side in league. He'd say it if he did the same against us. Just a PR exercise.

Yes I heard that gem. A goal difference of over 60 counts for nothing then. Perhaps lots were own goals...  :022:

Not sure if anyone else noticed as well yesterday, but Sky tried their absolute hardest to remove us from any league standings info and stats they produced. To the point where they did a 'how it stands' picture which looked like it showed Bournemouth top.....

filham

I guess that lead we have in the championship just puts us out of sight and out of mind to a lot of others.

I noticed that...🤣.... I thought it was odd.... I think what they were trying to do was show how close it was between 2nd and 10th.... us being 11 points clear would distort that graphic....
I think everyone knows the truth 😉⚽️⚽️

Glad it wasn't just me. I get it, the demographic does make it look closer than it actually is at the top. Was funny!

If you don't like AJW48361's comment, just ignore it.  Some of us find the anti-Bournemouth stuff tedious.
