Forgot to add, Diop is probably my MOTM. He's one of the main reasons Brentford result happened, but what a way to redempt yourself. Was outstanding throughout, can't recall him putting his foot (or head ) wrong. Colossal performance.

I understand everyone is different and people feel and react to situations in different ways. I dont quite understand however, the mentality of those who say they had expected to lose to Arsenal by 4 or 5 nil.

despite our loss last week to Brentford at home. I believed and said on here this morning, that with the right mental attitude, we could snatch a point today. I also felt that when we were 2-1 and a man down, we could still get an equaliser.   I hope all those who were inclined to blame Marco for all our woes last week, will now blame him for our result today.

So 11 v 12 and then 10 v 12 yet we get a point! Great effort by the lads. My optimism for the season is restored.
Bassey's second yellow was purely a professional foul. He had to do it because he was a step behind a faster man who would have been free 1 on 1 with Leno.
We overcame the usual refs when against a top 6 team. Came from behind while a man down and nine minutes of extra time. I think the ref counted all the time Arsenal was showing their bad sportsmanship while Bassey was on the ground.
All in all a classy performance. Is Leno a great keeper or what!!!

Just heading home, no idea why some are whingeing about the refereeing as all the cards were justified under the rules of the modern game. We really struggled to beat their press and to keep any possession but stuck at it heroically.
Thought all our subs were excellent and will give Silva food for thought.
A real battling performance which will do wonders for morale.

That was definitely a game for the neutrals. Too bad we couldn't snatch it at the death but what fight we had. Where was this fight vs Brentford? I think this fight can be attributed a lot to having Palhinha on the field.

This is the sort of post that actually is meant to cause to division and I never understand why fans on a day like this want to to try and cause an argument.

You start off with a lie. Nobody blames the manager for all our woes. But some of us rightfully said he was partly to blame last week for poor tactics and subs timing. Most will be happy that despite the constant moaning of our coach we have put in a good performance and the our coach deserves some of that praise.

Now can we please grow up and stop sniping at fans after our first two matches of awful performances who dared made their concern known. Just enjoy today. This result and performance doesn't change my personal attitude towards the team the manager or the club or the inconsistent officials. This result doesn't make Silva some sort of superstar either. A good job by all today doesn't change a bad job by all last week.

I do get your point, but the referee's mistake was for not signaling a foul on Bassey. What Arsenal did after was, however, very unsportsmanlike and I doubt we would do it. In fact, I can't remember a similar thing happening in a long time.

He was right, the booking for time wasting was inconsistent with other decisions and prejudiced in favour of one team.

Why do you doubt we would do it, we are not saints

If a defender is laying on the floor, in the box, injured, everyone would kick the ball out. It wasn't like they played one pass and scored the goal, they organised a full new attack while he was just laying there. I can't remember any team not putting the ball out of play in a similar situation like that one. It's disgraceful, imo.
