The only problem with BDR and Ream leaving in the same window is that you potentially lose a lot of the leadership and experience within the changing room which is one thing that money can't buy. Now if they're replaced with experienced PL players or senior pro's it's not the end of the world, but something to be considered

We have other leaders like Leno, Palhinha and Bassey.

Having watched BDR when given the captain's armband, it seemed to take his normal game away.
He will serve a good championship team well, Leeds would be a good bet.
But as earlier poster said, bet he is going nowhere.

Periera Another one touting themselves out after having their career revived at Fulham.

I like Andreas but I don't think he's irreplaceable and even though he has popped up with a good amount of assists and presses well, he also can be a bit anonymous at times.
might explain why we're considering spending on ESG if there's some question over if hell stay. We'd probably entertain a good bid if he has a killer tournament for Brazil.

Chelsea want £50m for an England international with 12 months left on his contract and received £60m for Mount for the same contract scenario. Pereira has two years so we should expect a minimum of £40m, for a Brazil international in his prime. I can't help but think he would be better with better players around him and that we haven't seen his best yet.

Pereira is a very good player, but he is currently close to his peak. If we want to sell him this is the time, and I think we can improve that position.

Would wish Andreas well if he is willing to go. The mild concern might be the volume of change in the squad but it looks like we might be doing our business early which could mitigate that.

Andreas has not kicked on this season. He has not managed to improve his output level in terms of goals, and although he has had a few good games, he is a saleable asset that we could improve on. But I would be happy to keep him as a squad member if we could improve our starter position and there are no appetising bids for him.

Whilst it's fine contemplating all these departures- Pereira, Tosin, Ream, BDR, Muniz- we've also got to keep the core 14/15 players together as much as possible whilst replacing any that we feel we can improve on. I'm not sure Diop is a huge improvement on Tosin, I'm not sure it's as easy as people think to replace a key cog like Pereira. You'll truggle to find a player more dependable and reliable than BDR too. Ream is about the best player you could have on a bench as a CB and Muniz, who knows if he'll keep on improving.
There's also Willian, B -Toure (who was a great back up). I'm all for getting a few new ones in, but without ripping up the blueprint of how we've got here in the first place.

I think Andreas/his agent are putting feelers out, looking for a move, rather than genuine interest. Just got called up back into the Brazil squad, so he is probably trying to play at a European level to stay in contention and fair play to him.

He's a good player, but I can't see him improving any of the teams that qualified for Europe. I'd be surprised if we get a considerable amount of money, for someone who's mostly likely going to be a squad/rotation option

There's a lot of players that will get their agent asking around - especially when it comes to people at the 26-30 mark, as that long term contract will likely be the last big one of their career.

Andreas has developed well in the last 2 years, someone Silva is keen to keep - plus plays a pivotal role with his press.

Not sure many 10's on the market with that press ability available. Free Kicks and set plays are a strong point of his but we do have other suitable takers like Wilson in the squad.

But I'd only sell Andreas if we could find a pressing alternative, and we received upwards of £30m.

I agree with your post especially the point improving any top flight team. I would go as far as to say he is at his ceiling level and if anything likelihood of a steady drop off in the next couple of seasons. Very nice intelligent technical player you'd expect being Brazilian but not the quickest and just don't see him ever scoring enough goals in the 10 position.

I've always stood up for AP on here and think that despite being very frustrating at times he offers way more than many give him credit for. £35 million+ however for a guy turning 29 in Jan surely we have to bite their hand off especially when the negative sides to his game are considered. I would be worried too about so many potentially going and would only sanction once a replacement is in but despite rating him higher than many £35 mil+ would be crazy money to turn down. If clubs mentioned really are that interested I think £35 to £40 is achievable as doubt they will be as savvy as we are to his shortcomings. Any less than£30 mil we should just keep him.

Quite possibly they wont go for it, but if they do need to sell before buying then we should ask for sure. Even at a straight swap i wouldnt be against it.

Yeah I'd be all in for the swap! Ramsay looked quality a few years ago.
