Literally the only frigging club that I could see going for him. They can piss off with 40 to 45 million euros. It had better be £50 million absolute minimum if it happens.

Yeah just saw this on skysports website. They are willing to pay £38m. I've got to say that is ridiculous. If I were the club I would go back to them and say it's £50m or nothing and you have until the 15th of July to submit the £50m bid otherwise he's not leaving. They can't come in late in the window and do the same thing again, and I would make that crystal clear.

Having said that, we want to keep him, period.

Yeah totally agreed re setting a deadline and £50 minimum. With the contract extension I'd be saying £55. Prob say end of June as well. If it's happening it needs to be done. Sick of this horrible club thinking they can walk all over us.

If it happens Andre, Maia, Florentino Luis or someone else? Luis or Andre for me.

I still think Andre was meant to be played alongside Paliniha rather than to replace him.

Depending on the price I would like Conor Gallagher (unlikely) and Scott McTominay (more likely).

But again, I would like someone like that to play alongside Palhinha rather than to replace him. We are pretty close to a top 7 team, just need a bit more quality and depth and we're there.

Deeping_white

The thing with Palhinha and anything we hear from German journo's is that Sky Germany is basically in Munich's pocket; they'll probably publicly announce they're willing to pay one figure and actually pay over €10m more. We know they're desperate now, they just went a season without winning a trophy in a one horse race, so if anything we'll bend them over and use their desperation against them

hovewhite

Tell them go and f°°k themselves. Also if JC paper review is full of this Rubbish everyday I will be blanking it!

Quote from: jayffc on June 06, 2024, 09:39:12 PMOne that got away?

Remember we were heavily linked with zirkzee with split opinion on here at the time...
Turns out much like gyokores he's gone on to great success and currently being eyes up with AC Milan about to trigger his 40m release clause at Bologna.

Ah well, we're looking in the right places, hopefully we can get some more quality in this summer

We had Mitro so couldn't have justified paying the fees those clubs wanted, shame about the timing or we could have got one.

If we sell Joao, I think we should do a West Ham and get two replacements. Gallagher and McTominey would be two replacements is be really happy with. We might get Lucky with Gallagher if no other teams actually go for him, might be wise to wait that one out

Would make a right industrial midfield

Hugh Janus

If João is to leave then best of luck son. £50m minimum thanks.

Thames Bank 1

And just wait for Saudi pro league to start sniffing around and splashing the cash

ffcthereligion

50m minimum? It was 70m being banded about last season, with an extra season of premier league elite form to back up that it wasn't a flash in the pan in 22/23, and exactly same amount of years left on contract after he signed extension.

Let's not be bullied and lily livered when dealing with these c*nts

Thailand Mick

Just had a look through the Bayern Munich gossip and it seems Kompany is causing a bit of a stir there already, and they don't sound a happy camp. they have a list of players he's interested in and for DM they list Palhinha or Amadou Onana from Everton. Also they list six players which he wants to move on and this is causing the stir with Maithijs De Ligt one of those players, so get in there Fulham he's valued at 65m Euros and is exactly what we need so a swap could be the way to go. Get Edwin Van Da Sar to have a word in his ear and tell him what a great club we are.

why on earth would he go there? Sideways/backwards step + living on Nottingham instead of London?

Depends on what they offer him, and I don't just mean financial.

Didn't we accept a bid of around 55m providing we could get a replacement? (65m euros) He is a year older so affects their resale etc. If he has a blinder of a euros tournament then sure we could try and press for that £55-60m. But realistically 50m for a 29 year old (in a months time) probably shouldn't be sniffed at too much.

I can't begrudge Palhinha champions league football at this stage of his career. Now...if Bayern are trying to lowball us at 34-38 they can do one frankly and it won't be our fault the deal falls through...again.

They need to make it very clear to Palhinha what the minimum is they will accept, don't reach that fee then he stays

A handy?

What do you mean ha?

Budget wise it sounds like they're cutting it fine already, already reportedly have to sell in order to avoid further sanctions. That could even mean further point deductions potentially if they don't sell some of their bigger players. So not like they could seemingly offer to throw the kitchen sink at new transfers again.

Not really sure what that job offers that's better than here. Other than they once were a bigger club - but it's starting another "project" as opposed to what would seemingly be more attractive stepping into an established big club which surely would be more of interest to him.

I have no idea, but there could always be something that attracts a manager, that was my point.
