Sorry to create yet another Scott Parker thread, but Jesus Christ - this interview with the BBC really sums him up.

Arrogant, inarticulate - "thick" for want of a better word. I really hope Burnley don't go up, as the media love in will just continue.

Speaking of Frank Lampard:

"He's doing very well now and he's done very well in a short space of time in his career, probably similar to myself".

Speaking of his team:

"Them experienced guys - them ones that are not just the guys who are experienced and got the t-shirt - but those guys that can voice things, lead, and the players listen, it's infectious," he added.

The thing is, Scotty will be fearful of the premier league, he's failed each time before and the way Burnley play won't be effective in the premier league.

Like with us, if Burnley get promoted, he has some big decisions to make, keep the same turgid football and rest with his laurels - probably getting sacked with his squad in relegation.

Or,

He changes style and trys to stay up - again probably getting sacked with his squad in relegation, tactics take time to change, especially drastically which will need to happen in the premier league.

In both scenarios, parker won't look amazing, but like kompany, parker may well look better to the world media if he sticks by his laurels and doesn't divert the style he's known for.

not surprised. there were quite a few leaks from when he was with us about how much of a ***** he is and more than half the team didnt like him. Let alone how fast the leaks from bournemouth came out on their forums, wasn't it in the first week he had a bust up with a long term employee? they couldn't wait for him to get out. :slap:

He didn't seem to listen to "them experienced guys" when he managed us?

This will probably be the only time I want Fat Frank to win a game!

I'm just so sick of hearing about Scott bloody Parker.

I think he is too arrogant to be fearful tbh and I can't see him changing his style - it has been successful in the Championship but it most definitely won't work in the EPL.  If they do get promoted I think Burnley fans are in for a torrid time and as far as this successful season goes I  for one wouldn't want to be watching endless no score draws or one nil wins.  I know points on the board count but football is supposed to be entertaining and the Parker style is anything but.

Not a big SP fan at all, however, am pleased to see Leeds dropping off auto.  Hope Leeds fails promotion, would rather see Burnley move up than Leeds......

Steeeeeeeeeed

I do think the new Riverside stand should be named the Scott Parker Stand

Is that because it goes side to side

Or because it takes forever to make any progress.

Let's not slag Parker. Our tactics have resembled Parker's tactics in a number of games this season. Just passing sideways and back.

Scott Parker is, whether we like it or not, one of the most successful Chanpionship Managers.

In terms of his style, we are currently playing it ourselves most recently!!!

Careful what we wish for....Imagine a year from now seeing SP on the box, crowing about "Them six points what we got of of Fulham....."

Most teams in the PL get relegated because they can't defend well enough. He has shown some ability to make his teams hard to beat, and that could be a solid base for doing ok in the PL next season.

In life people can improve at what they are doing as they learn from mistakes and pick up more experience and knowhow. Football management can be unforgiving but who is to say that he has not improved since he left us. Burnley tried playing expansive football under Kompany and it didn't work in the PL. Their track record of doing well was by playing Dyche turgid percentage style football. Not that Parker plays like that particularly, but they would probably do well do try a bit of that next season if they go up. Everton are currently playing that style under Moyes quite well.

It is always interesting to see what attire he is wearing, that is all the t****r has going
