Yes that is fair. My point was more re the age profile of Kayode (and he's playing already too) and although I don't see the need for an upgrade on Leno (neither do I see Kelleher as necessarily an upgrade) that is a solid piece of business from them conducted early. Hes a solid keeper

The reason Brentford are a head of our recruitment policy is the time difference in America and tony has to have his breakfast first well that's what his mum said and he has to wash the wrestling kits and go and watch the young college kids play that game with crash helmets catch 'em young.

Not a bad deal that for Brentford but I don't think Kelleher's as good as Leno. Better with his feet but that's it

If we still had money left in the pot from last summer which going by the fact we took Nelson on loan when the other player we were going to buy pulled out last minute then we need to spend that money by 30th June for it to be in the previous seasons accounts. By the same logic I don't see us selling any player before the 30th June so that profit will be carried forward into the next seasons account. By the way Keiran Maguire did a piece on how much each club could have to spend this summer for the BBC and he thinks Fulham have between £100-150 million. He said our worry was the wage bill being 85% of revenue.

Brentford had a really good spell of signings about 5 or 6 years ago (Mbeumo, Norgard, Toney, Wissa), but value isn't their thing the last 4 or 5 years IMO. Collins- £27m, Lewis Potter £19m, Schade £30m, Igor £33m, Van Den Berg £24m, Carvalho £24m. I see £150m of not a lot of much there.

I look at the Fulham squad and see good value in loads of players- Lukic £8m, Tete £3m, Leno £6m, Robinson £1.9m, Raul even at £5m, Traore free, wilson £10m, Pereira £9m etc.

Don't know about it being just "rumours". BBC report that "Kelleher set to move to Brentford for £12.5m" plus add ons. "Flekken is heading to... Bayer Leverkusen.......the German club have agreed a fee of about £8m". That sounds a bit more concrete than just rumours.

Yeah agreed. Just don't see anyone being interested at the price at his age. To be fair even if they were I'm not sure he goes. Sold Mitro and João as forced into it because of the players themselves pushing for it. I don't think Robinson would do that as clearly very happy here and said he'd only go if the club wanted him to. Refreshing. I honestly can't see us selling anyone apart from potentially AP and Reed because we want to.

Tete, Robinson and Wilson etc going back a while now and some notable omissions but yes not as hot recently in comparison to those early years
